Yay, crash-cam! Bring 'em on! :)

I had the place to myself yesterday - saw 3 dog walkers, 2 people walkers, 2 girls & 2 blokes out for a pootle about at lunchtime, and saw only 1 other person heading for singletrack in the whole day (well, 4.5 hours). Nice! Ended up doing yogurt pots about 7 times yesterday cos I couldn't find Barry's (but that did mean I got my time down to 2:12 :) - Had to do something for a challenge with no-one else around to race!)

I didn't realise telegraph poles was so close to YP - I got a better idea of the lay of the land yesterday with all my wandering about. Bit miffed I couldn't find the start of BKB though, I wanted to sort out my berms! I can't do that rocky one well yet, the rocks wreck my head so I always end up comfort braking - want to get out of that habit! Guess I'll have to go back for more then :)

Anyway - weekdays out there: highly recommended! No queues :)

If parking near pub is busy keep driving past it and up the hill to that second link I posted, there's a layby that can fit a few cars in it, it has a white gate we ride past to get to our location.

metalmonkey we are all riding surrey hills on sunday so come join, location & directions are above :)

Thats sounds good! Can anyone pick me up please, err no car

I'm too far down south to be much use to anyone for a lift unfortunately. Worst case you could get the train to dorking and ride down :)

Seriously?! Last time I was out on a Sat there were 3 bunches of peeps waiting to go down BKB!!

I can't wait for these exams to be over, then I can come out to play (yesterday was a well-deserved post-exam day off and now I'm back to stressing cos Monday will be taken up with bike stuff too, leaving only 8 study days left! I promised to do a road ride on Monday with a mate for training. Anyone care to join us doing a 50-miler out & back from Surry with Ditchiling beacon in the middle? (I sometimes wonder about my sanity. I don't like this road riding stuff at all!!)

It's too complicated to understand where is that cross. Tried converting maps to different views yet didn't see that magic cross. Omg, thel33ter do your pro editing on maps plz.

  • I'm super keen for a ride on Sunday. What's the best station to get out at coming from Clapham? It looks like Holmwood rail is the shortest distance away. I'm going to ride up to the crossroads. Hardtails FTW!

    Cwmcarn short video

Not sure when Vimeo will publish-upload it. No crashes 's been shown, just a couple of flowing trails.

Hope there's enough space there. It's not an emergency access place I take it?

Anyway, will head for there for 9.

    fatfreddyscat is...
Dkenny - I'm around Monday if you're up for a ride then. Can't make sunday unfortunately as I'll be in Manchester :(

Was hoping for a lie in at least one day, but I'll only end up doing nothing all day, so probably will make it. Question is where?

Well the alternative is to park down in Coldharbour or a little further on towards dorking theres a layby you could park in.

That Cwmcarn video is really nice, that trail looks really smooth and fast. Also saw lots of nice little jumps too...

Hope the rain stops for tomorrow.

Is it still at the + road  Or meet in Coldharbour and ride up?
