    Get a new Dartmoor Hornet - £189

ooo they look nice! So what ive got in terms of options now: DMR (any type really), GT Chucker, Spesh P series, and the Dartmoor Hornet. Its not gonna be any time soon though. Gotta gather the funds up. Its just a "dream" for now

Hoping to get money from selling some of my bikes, doing well in exams, and hopefully finding a job after my exams.
  • Hey all, gonna be in Surrey, over the next few days. got thurs and fri available but have never ridden anywhere there...anyone fancy meeting up or got any 'not getting lost' advice?

There seems to be quite a sizable group assembling via Facebook for an 11am-out-of-Walking-Bottom ride tomorrow.

    Hi all,

What's the ground conditions at peaslake, holmbury? Much snow on the ground? I want to take the missus for a shred up but she's not keen on snow rides .

    Cheers,

Just enough snow to melt and add to the mud unfortunately.
    Nasty.

Fair bit of snow at the top of Leith, a bit on Holmbury too. Nice snow and made for some fast smooth trails but underneath is also deep boggy mud in places. There are major areas of swamp conditions still there but just semi frozen. Riding Holmbury and Leith yesterday was v.cold! and the mud then froze solid to the bike (and froze up my gears).

    Hi Guys,

Been Riding around Surrey Hills / Swinley a while but feeling the need for some new people to ride with as most of my old riding buddies either just quit riding, Moved away or work opposite shifts to me and im getting bored of riding alone! Is there a facebook page you guys organise rides on?

    Should be okay.

You're logged into Facebook? It's a closed group but you should be able to see the page and then request to join.

Plan was rides would be arranged here in the main, but most people oddly seem to like Facebook. That said it's dead here now.

Anyone for swinley 19:30/0am tomorrow? planning to do blue-red-blue but happy to do anything.

I had 3 hours on red and blue yesterday morning. Beautiful day and really good fun on both. I thought the blue would be easy like a blue-rated ski slope but I'm sure there were bigger berms than on the red!

If it's oversubscribed will they build more track? Would be great if they could eliminate the fire road sections. The one way gives you a bit more confidence to hare around corners too!

    Hi Chaps

I'm new to this forum and getting back into mountain biking this year.

How do you guys organise your rides and can anyone join or is it dependant on fitness, experience etc?

Yep, things slowed down here a bit as most people use FB more often. I try and transfer rides here but can't always keep up.
Anyway welcome to the FB place.
