Hoping to be around for the new year. It's a good long weekend so plenty of riding time even for those with a hangover.

Anyone up for a ride on Sunday the Second?

I can escape so I'm going out regardless.

@Andy - I'm working Wednesday to Friday, but apart from that am around if you want to arrange something. Think most of the guys are either away or intending to be drunk and/or lazy though.

Pencil in Tuesday if you can , as I'm working Monday , then Fri , Sat & Sunday . :(

Sorry, I have a pedantic colleague who told me this year (with great pleasure) that boxing day is the bank holiday after the christmas bank holiday which this year is tuesday. He's a dick :)

Won't be able to join you sadly.

Good ride today. Traffic was immense so headed for Swinley instead. Didn't have a skooby where I was going so got lost in trails that weren't trails and got attacked by snow covered trees. Battled through it though and feel better for it.

Have a good New Year all & will see you when I'm back in 2Y11

A bit late to post but is anyone for a ride tomorrow Monday either Swinley or Surrey Hills? I must get fit !
    What could have been (Video)

I'll choose not put too much stake into someone's opinion who is admittingly terrible though

Can be as pedantic as he likes. Boxing day in the UK is still traditionally the 26th and everyone observes it as such. The official bank holiday for Boxing Day is the 28th, but that doesn't make it Boxing Day. Or maybe all the press, calendar makers, TV guides and so on are wrong. So yeah, he's a dick :D

Well yeah, they're wrong, that's his point (we looked it up, he's right). If he was wrong, we'd all be having to take a day off today :)

In terms of riding, got a gallery show to go to today, but might manage SH tomorrow depending when family leave.

I will be there for sure. Just probably not at 10am as I'm doing breakfast for everyone (not you cooldad) so have to be up early to cook the bacon and pancakes.

You could at least bring Stan and me a bacon buttie. And some coffee. Couple of pancakes. Sausage or two. Mmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm.
I'll take my phone, call when you know when and roughly where and we'll meet you.

Can't see any rain around Dorking, only fog.

@Cooldad, no one is buying your stuff... Forgot about that crankset too, if no-one buys it I'll have it :D

It's chucking down at the moment. Should make things interesting tomorrow.

And had interest in the the crankset, mech and brakes so far. You can have them special price. £20.

Rained in Devon. One day still a fair bit of snow on the ground and -1, next day, all snow gone and +6.

Seems we're going through a tropical heatwave for the next few days, then cold again.

Still, got me one of them funky neo mudguard thingies to try out now the mud is back.

Thel33ter got one of those as well. With evil eyes on it.

I tried making one out of an inner tube. Will presumably see tomorrow if it works.
