Realised myself due to weather, commintments, etc ... I won't have any more away group rides in Wales. So, as we have nearly approached our group rides annual date 1year together what is your favourite photo describing our group rides? What about video?

My main contenders for video would be in no particular order

-What could have been- describes group's easy riding
-Bank holiday with Sunday warriors part2- Amazing music and photos
-CYB group rides part1- Hippy style riding'n'relax

My favourite and most stylish photo would be this and that obiously, yeah all of those

Please note that lying on the floor tramp is no beautifull at all, the bikes are awesome and the bestest :D

What's your opinion on video's and photos though ?
    What could have been (Video)

I'll choose not put too much stake into someone's opinion who is admittingly terrible though

  • How fast do you guys ride? I've recently been getting back into riding, so a group ride would be great.

    Lightning fast!

Nah, we can be out the whole day and only a couple of hours of actual riding (so my GPS says) :D.

Depends on the group though. Occasionally it's a faster pace, but generally leisurely and more about social riding and exploring (or at least that's what I get out of it). Definitely only as fast as the slowest rider... which is probably me.

We may do a bit of distance some times, covering most of the hills (Winterfold, pitch, holmbury & Leith), and other times just stick to one area.

And yeah, that's the car park. Be warned that it was very slushy last week and tricky to park cars there. Might be okay by the weekend as it's getting warmer apparently.

I'm dropping our friend off at Heathrow for 11am so I might head down SH way after that. I've got DK and Cooldad's phone numbers so if I do I'll call and figure out an intercept spot.

All the roads were fine, and the carpark should have cleared pretty well by now.

i also have 3 more coming with me or maybe 4.

just a quick question guys how long would it take us to ride the route considering that we have some unhealthy newbies (me) tagging along? LOL!

    cooldad Posts: 32,599
We just make the route up as we go along - roughly plan where we would like to go and see what happens. If we go more or less, or spend time playing somewhere, that's fine.
Some hills we push up, some of us being older and wiser, go downhill quite sedately, although very stylishly.
    It's just for fun.

What cooldad said. Basically everyone works out the sort of riding they want and how long they have to ride and it gets cooked up from there. Some people either turn up half way through or leave early depending on tiredness or commitments. It's very relaxed.
