Dkenny, Abel was quite easy to fly around. Shame didn't video it, but once you see the exit of those turning drops you just belt your bike for it !
Guess the man crashed in that video 'cause fixed his vision on front wheel-rider in front* instead of looking out for exit - next corner, made him panic the last second and run off the bike? I could be wrong ...

Convinced my work collegue (Apprentice) to MTB and the man riding trails he would never ever consider to ride, obviously shared a bit of knowledge with him to see how he goes. Don't know how Jedi does it in 4 hours, but oh boy it took me 4 proper days to shake off some fears off Apprentice's mind even then, there is still some work to do with him.

Shame can't ride every week though, every ride is a revelation to me.

@Dubcat - become another Apprentice with Popstar and you'll be doing black runs within an hour :D (whether you like it or not ;)).

Haha this is how I learned to snowboard 15 years ago. I had ridden every double black diamond run in the north east US in my first season riding lol.

It was fine then. It's NOT fine now :)

Thel33ter , CYB is good at winter too. Get your insurance sorted to pay Cooldad chauffering fees. Accomodation isn't that expensive too, ask bhoyz they know. And yes, you said about apprenticeship in LBS going on? If not, you better start flipping burgers to earn paradise riding. Amen.

He's too young to work legally, otherwise I'd have him down a coal mine already.

From various threads I see that Dubcat is interesting material to work with. I can't wait till I join you lot with -Wacky Races- project. Sooner or later, I will run away from home to ride bikes. Even though, my wife wouldn't be impressed that every possible weekend I am away.

Cooldad, it was a time Thel33ter grew beard. Job done.

Not riding unfortunately, or at least it's VERY unlikely as I have a house full of guests. That said, most of you may struggle as we're forecast snow this week.

Pah, snow. That never stops us :D

(well, except that last big dump at the beginning of the year where I couldn't even get to Peaslake. Still, if someone has a 4x4 we could do it).

    It'll rain anyway.

Strange didn't hear much from Gregsd, Naveed, NickSwansea, Helter ... those were quite regular. Hope they didn't fall off the cliff.

Off topic Skids for kids lame video, still good fun nevertheless.

Did a mild XC ride last weekend, mud and leaf central and four punctures in two hours....!

Been dry and clear all week, should be a wkd weekend riding wherever I reckon. Cant do this weekend unfortunately, cross fingers it's (mostly) dry for the wknd after and I'm there.

Lovin the training vid Popstar, knarly :D You havn't got him in a full-facer and knee/arm protection yet tho! Come on, sort it out.

No, the man as he is has never ever even dreamt he would be riding what he was. So I am proud and smug about it. It was a lil video of training battle which took me 4 days in different locations and put Jedi's message acros to Apprentice. Was a hard work, mentally.

    Is cool man.

What I want to know though is how come the training you gave me at Afan was reduced to.. "Right!.. Black run!... Lets go, lets go!..."

Obviously I blame your puppy. She looks way too bright red and charmed me. Buckaroo don't need no training, as looks Gnarly enough. Red coloured bikes look fast, and thats a fact.

Maybe I should draw one of my red bikes on trails, but unfortunately not this weekend as I am working.

Well, training and teaching as it is, requires not only general idea but location and experience in it. So, if starting from that comedy clip of Apprentice going over the bars in Afan at Y Wall trail following my battle with him in training and see the man ride Black graded trails with ease and without silly fear tells big words about new future of Jedi's.

Let Popstar represent and tell wonderfull story of CYB adventure.

Haven't been on here for awhile so must have a sixth sense, I'm in for drinks.

Am also around for a blast down some Gnarl over the weekend too. Saturday's better as Friday night's a quiet one but Sunday's doable too if I can find some movies to watch Saturday night and stay out the pub. Any suggestions??
