And I don't mean Peter Mandelson!!

Just to light the fire further, what is the thought on a higher power?

God told me he doesn't exist. So if anyone says yes then you're calling God a liar, and you know what that gets you!

I see that the Saviour has arrived today.

The dark days are almost at an end, the years of bitterness and depression are left behind, a brave new future is on the horizon.

A wave of opomistic euphoria is sweeping across the population, the day has come at last...

Yes Craig Levein has been appointed Scotland football manager!!

I dont know about an all powerful being, or a man with a beard etc, but i do believe in something bigger than us. Quite what that is, I do not know.
Whenever I see an adult on a bicycle, I believe in the future of the human race.

This one will never be resolved unless there is a 'sighting'.

But I love some of the things that 'believers' come out with. Some woman from the American Mid-West was on the news a while back recovering in hospital after a tornado had trashed her house. She thanked God for saving her from the tornado and helping her to get better: presumably this was a different God from the one that sent the tornado in the first place?

I think you can work out where I stand on this one

I started off thinking that you were on about the Winter Solstice, happened yesterday at 17:47 apparently. But then I saw the words Craig Levein and optimistic euphoria in the same paragraph, and laughed, out loud, and my ar $ e fell off on the floor. RAOFLMAO indeed. The same Craig Levein who turned up at Leicester a few years ago as the saviour of the club following the Peter Taylor debacle (regular silverware, top 10 PL finishes prior to Taylor, then FA Cup v Wycombe humiliation, relegation, doom & gloom under PT) followed by more much more of the same under this dour scots oaf. You're welcome to him - enjoy watching Euro 2012 & the 2014 WC from your sofa.

Omnipresent being? Martin O'Neil is the closest I've encountered, turning the Walkers Crisps factory team into a half-decent side for a few years.

Is there a God? I doubt it very much. But it's nice that people want something to hang on to.

    You're confusing God with religion
