    That is a long time.

Not as long as a week though

    Or eight days.

Unless it's one of those eight day weeks the Beatles sang about once.

I was going to say that. I think Craig David did a song about the days of the week - no mention of satsumas though.

It's wet out again. Was going to go for a run, but I probably won't bother.

I saw a pigeon in Amsterdam that had a ring on its leg.

I gave it a bit of my chip.

I don't think there are any songs about satsumas - quite a few about bananas though. And apples.

Probably none about oranges either, because nothing rhymes with orange. Lozenge is fairly close, I suppose.

Well if you're only looking at the second syllable, "minge" rhymes with "orange"

I cant think of a word to rhyme with pint.
    Or orange.

satsuma rhymes with crooner, like dean Martin for example.

You could sing about oranges or satsumas as long as you don't put those words at the end of the line. It just takes a little thought.

took 3 satsumas from my bag and put them on my desk. I wonder how many work hours they will last?

I have some Chinese tea at work that was given as a gift. It has lasted over three years.
I suppose I should chuck it out.

That one didn't last long....are you hoping to eat two again tomorrow then?
  • There's a film (based on a book of the same name) about oranges - 'Oranges Are Not The Only Fruit' - now that's a mundane observation if ever I saw one. I haven't seen it.

There's a phone company and a bunch of nutters in Northern Ireland also called Orange.

Just remembered The Fall's "Kurious Oranj" song and album. Disproves what I said earlier - though it isn't about the fruit.

    It includes the couplet:
    they were positively deranged,
    they were curious oranj
  • Of course there's 'Clockwork Orange' too. I haven't seen that either, but I don't think it's about oranges, clockwork or otherwise.

Some things in the film are orange, and there's a clock in a couple of the scenes.

The cleaner mops my floor. Its an office off a workshop. The managers want to call it a "Technical Space", but that just winds me up.

Also, I am looking forward to having a terrys chocolate orange this festive time.

all our cleaners here are African or Spanish.

Last year they were all East European.

20 years ago they were mostly middle aged white women from London

    Is that mundane?
