I've noticed an odd 'creaky' noise coming from the front of my Tarmac - which is usually more audible when I'm attempting to get up a very steep hill.
Should I be worred? Or is it just the noise that wheels make when they flex?
It aint the wheels for sure, unless you got a shoddy bloke to assemble it for you? Could be your headset is loose, but more than likely i found a noise in mine mate coming from wait for it...... The crankset cause the bearings had not been set properly meaning the arm was not as tight as it should be. Get it serviced it will get the prob sorted mate>G.H.Allum0 -

Had a similar problem with my Tarmac, couple of things to try, first take the pedals off and heavily grease the threads before refixing. Also check the front skewer, could be too tight, try with a different one from another bike or wheel.
Carbon (and to a certain extent aluminium)frames are hopeless for creaks echoing round the frame, can take ages to track down where it's coming from.0 -
Mine did turn out to be the brackett not being greased enough get them to check the bearings in the front hub i was told tht sometimes they can be too dry it sorted mine out no problems!!!! Godd luck mateG.H.Allum0

A very late update - but the creaking noise did end up being the headset - a little bit of tightening and it was all as good as new.
I'm still absolutely loving this bike - I use it pretty much every day.
Is yours still going strong, Speed King? Any new 'upgrades'?
I haven't really needed to change anything - apart from some new red GP4000 tyres and a set of Speedplay pedals.0
