Good on Mark, I was reading something he said recently - the cameras always pick up his outbursts, but are never there when he goes to apologise.
And if Hushovd can accept the apology, I hope that cycling fans will as well.0 -

Except for today They showed him saying sorry to Thor on the ITV programme tonight. Thor seemed to take it in good spirit.0 -

Great stuff. The kid is 24 years old. I think we've just seen him grow up in this tour.
Nothing wrong with him having attitude and swagger, but it's also cool to see he knows how to be occatiojnally humble.
Him admitting that he understood Thor went out and humiliated him the other day is classic and shows he understands that he's just been shown how to make a statement.
And as a rider he may not have even peaked yet.0 -
Hats off to Mark and Thor for the way they've handles the past few days.
I think sometimes we can forget just how much scrutiny and pressure these riders are under.
SO far in this Tour we've seen apologies from:
- LA, for this comments on last year's race
- Satsre for his rest day outburst
- Cav of course
The Tour is such as hard race; it really would mess with riders minds. The daily monotonous, grueling routine must drive them temporarily insane (maybe even permanently - see Cadel).
I wonder if sometimes we don't cut the riders enough slack?
But great to see Cav maturing on this Tour. It's only going to make him a better rider - and that is a scary thought!

Cheers, guess it'll just be a case of plowing through all of week three until I find it. Never know, might find something else good too!0 -

I think that Txurruka fell off on the big stage a few days ago? About the same time as Menchov?
Yeah, just checked the Euskaltel website and he hurt his hip.

They got dropped after just 6km on a 4th category climb of 2.6km at 5.6% and werent able to get back on. That made it a hard day and they finished 30 minutes back. Probably a bit unlucky that the peloton decided to chase the big breakaway. Txurruka was suffering from his earlier crash while Perez had tendonitis.0
