I reckon Armstrong just pinched 4 seconds or so, on his rivals.....

Excellent win that will provoke the usual haters to leave their anti-Lance/what's Wiggo on threads. Anyway, I have a feeling HTC will want the Paris stage to stick it to those who 'denied' Hinchapie and Cav their jerseys.

Great sprint from Cav. I've been a massive supporter of him, but even i had to hang my head at some of his comments this past week. But again he proves he's the best, and no arguments about him being propelled this time...

Exceptional by Cavendish ... makes me remember milan san remo. By far his best sprint win of the tour de france.
Great little move by armstong to get those extra seconds. Hope they don't count against wiggo on the ventoux.

Hopefully some soft legs for tomorrow!

So, let's see. Cav wins in Paris, Thor comes 17th, neither get any intermediate sprint points, and Cav get the Green. :?

Can't see Thor finishing that far down without some sort of misfortune befalling him.

No - obviously not. Would need a crash or puncture or divine intervention.

He hung onto the back of the sprinters group - you get a good view of it from the helicopter footage of the finish as they head into the final corner. He's a wily old fox, indeed. Bradley, two places back from Lance, doesn't appear to have learnt his lesson from last time...

Have to say, not much of a Columbia or a Cavendish fan (though I do realise they're not mutually exclusive), I thought they really rode this one well. That was a proper sprint!

Though Rabobank are really having a proper sh!t one.

Seeing all those bandages wizzing at the front of the peleton for no result. Gutting.
Note: the above post is an opinion and not fact. It might be a lie.

He was doing the same thing, in early stages, similar to this, in his Tour wins.
Knows to stay close to the front at crucial times.
With 600 metres to go, the situation was worse. Wiggins was way off, when the compuslory Euskatel rider, lost "Black Hat's" wheel.

Either a sign of ever improving form, or desperation.....

    4 seconds!

you got to give it to lance he knows how to steal that little bit of time here and there
