Frank has 'failed dismally' according to Paul

He lost 1 min to LA over 40K FFS!

    LOL

    Two things to remember:

    1. LA is 87 years old
    2. He is making his comeback after not even looking at a bike for 28 years

They just didn't buy the whole story, is all. And good for them.

So I don't think Phil is talking balls.

No, he was making the point that the people of France love Lance but the French press lie and print stories suggesting they hate him. This is crap, as Lance is the only one who's suggested he's at risk in France.

So, now Andy just needs to take 5 minutes out of Contador on Ventoux. No problem.

Great work by Bruyneel in Bertie's car. Great tactics.

Oh, that's right; they got the work experience kid to do it.

    Fab tweet from Lionel Birnie

"Be interesting to see how Bruyneel and Armstrong find a way to criticise Contador for absolutely blitzing it."

Great. First real joke result of the Tour. Maybe Fabian will turn the tables on Bertie on the Ventoux tomorrow, eh?

Has anyone here considered the possibility that Contador asked him NOT to follow him?

Frank needs 30 secs on LA on Ventoux?

Easy - Andy will make sure of that.

And Bertie will dispose of Kloden for Saxo Bank.

The third podium spot still up for grabs on the Ventoux. Can Wiggo ditch Armstrong? Frank Schleck and Kloeden close too.

So Bertie's also faster than Cancellara over 40km, after it's rained a bit in the meantime.

    FFS.

He was no doubt worried that Johann might 'accidently' hit the gas pedal and knock him off....

    Why is that a joke??

Fabian has done a lot of work in the mountains for Saxo Bank.

The French press isn't anti-Armstrong compared to the German press!

So Lance is back in a podium position. What chance does he have of keeping in it?

    +1
Supposed to give piss, not take it.

Bruyneel now has an excuse to pop a set of real values onto his passport, since he's shacking up with Lance.

No. A TT specialist almost never wins in the THIRD week of a grand tour. That's a lot of riding and mountains they had to go over. There's a reason that GC guys do better at the end of a 3-week race than the guys who win 1-day races.

Also Contador finished 4th in the Olympics TT and was second in the first TT of the Tour. It is not like there was a massive difference between them.
