Since Andy can't get the win, watch him return the favour to big brother as he helps hin into third place on Ventoux.

It'll be close but Lance should be ahead of wiggins.

I think Wiggo is 2 seconds ahead on GC.

We have this conversation about Contador every time he puts in a good TT performance. Which, for someone who allegedly can't TT, is remarkably often.
Full of people who only watch the TdF here now.....

Contador is Lance 2004. Back then, Lance won in the mountains and he won in theTT's. (Won 6 stages that year)

    Learn something everyday:

Phil just informed me that Lance was watching Olympic games last year and thought to himself he could be all of them. Hence the comeback.

Will that mean Lance will make it to London 2012?

That's always been bull. There have been suspicions, especially since the French journalists are far more ready to ask about doping - imagine Liggett grilling Armstrong on Ferrari! - and this has been taken as "the French" being anti-Lance.

Maybe LA shouldn't dropped him in last km in Thursday's stage. Cost Klodi 9 seconds.

Be honest, given Lance's riding here, if he hadn't broken his collarbone, do you really think he wouldn't be riding even better than he is now? And right now he's in 3rd place.

Never knowingly let an opportunity to play devils advocate pass.

Fwiw I reckon wiggins will never place this high on a GT again, the course has helped him a lot.

Frank has 'failed dismally' according to Paul

He lost 1 min to LA over 40K FFS!

In my experience of reading the French press, they are quite anti-Lance -- for good reasons!

They just didn't buy the whole story, is all. And good for them.

So I don't think Phil is talking balls.

So how far behind LA is Frank now in GC?

You could say the same about a lot of riders in this years race. In many years riders who are still in the top 10 would be the best part of an hour down by now.

Yeah - but isn't LA like 50 years old or something?
