This makes me oddly happy. Guess I was right all along when I called his performances "ridiculous" in the Giro.

Now, where are those Di Luca fans?

Still CERA-tastic peloton by the looks of things.

French TV saying he'll retire, unsurprisingly.

Great to see the passport enabling the testers to target suspicious riders like di luca and finally nail them out of the sport. Lets hope they catch vino by the end of july!!!!

Not really becuae iirc your "ridculous" claims were relating to his climbing ability, so not that ridiculous at the time.

:?: I remember commenting on that thread that his climbing was out of all proportion to his earlier GT outings. Clearly this was why. So how does this make afx wrong?

    Cycling news saying tests from:

he UCI announced Wednesday that it has suspended Italian Danilo Di Luca for two positive tests for the EPO derivative CERA. The LPR Brakes rider's doping control samples showed evidence of the banned blood booster on two occasions - on May 20 and 28th during the 2009 Giro d'Italia.

. Di Luca tested positive twice - before the Cinque Terre time trial and before the Mt. Vesuvio stage.

Why does it take so long for the results to come out? That's almost 2 months.
