I always smile when the commentators say the riders are "recovering" whilst still ridig up a hill that would reduce me to tears

Wiggins staying on Armstrong's wheel until he had no option... Played Armstrong's game there, touch naive. Schleck and Armstrong clearly weren't going to chase. That could be the podium right there

Just saw Andy turn and say something into the radio. You think they speak Dutch or German so Contador can't understand them?

If Kloeden takes a place from Wiggo at the end of this I'll be well p1ssed off. He shouldn't even be bloody riding.

With luck Wiggins should get back onto the 4 leaders during the descent to the Colombiere.
  • Hopefully Kleber, but can he hold on when they start going up again?

Isn't it amazing how long Contador can stay standing on the pedals? Impressive.

Schlecks are giving it the one-two but don't think they are going to be able to get rid of Contador.
Sastre dropped by the look of it, that's a real shame....

i get the impression that Alberto could just ride away at any time.

Andy needs at least a minute on Contador going in to the TT to have a chance on Ventoux, but it probably won't happen.

Looking harder for Wiggins now, he's losing time. If this carries on he'll be out of the top-3 quite quickly.

its gnna be a dash down the other side to the final climb

  • Yep. Looks that way. Can Wiggins et al get back on and can Wiggo climb with Klodi and put some time into Lance? It's going to be interesting.

Yes, Andy's the 2nd strongest rider in the race - he deserves a podium. Excellent ride from Andy and Frank, and Kloden.

I'm guessing Andy isn't attacking here because he wants Frank with him on the final climb.
