Armstrong looked like could've overtaken Nibali at the end, but didn't want to look like a racapious b*stard, which is nice.

Will Carla be a podium girl today?

    Was that Sarkozy?

I just assumed that old man was LA being interviewed post stage

Great stage today. Congrats to the Schleck brothers for there work and Frank's victory. Disappointed with Contador's tactics. Proud to see Lance Armstrong working really hard and giving a great effort.

I know we've still got the TT and Ventoux, but if the TT is similar to the first and Ventoux is similar to this, we might actually have the Schlecks on the podium together!

I'm pleased for the Schlecks given that they've talked about attacking throughout the tour - but time seemed to be running out for them - great that it's all come together today for them.

its very possible brad can take some good time out of those in front tomorrow (bar contandor) but is ventoux going to be too hardcore or was today a bigger test. That second to last climb was a total killer.

I would love to see the podium as it is now - well, those 3 riders at least.

Safe to assume Wiggo can take time out of the Schlecks and Armstrong tomorrow... a few seconds from Klodi might be doable... or am I dreaming?!

Depends how shagged he is after today. What time will the favourites be setting off?

It looks like it will all be very close for the podium behind Contador after tomorrow.... fire on the Ventoux

Is this the first time Andy has faced Lance in a race ??? (given Lance's retirement a few years ago).

As it comes after 2 1/2 weeks of racing, the TT is as much about recovery abilities as it is TT abilities. Wiggins should still do well but I'm not sure he'll take back huge chunks, remember he is more of a climber this days. It should make for a good stage though, the podium is still to play for and that's before we get the Ventoux.

Interesting - on the Tour's toughest climbing day, Contador wasn't appreciably any stronger than the Schlecks.

Ned said Wiggo looked OK coming over the line - he's a disciplined strategist, he'll have plenty in the tank for tomorrow. Kloden and the Schlecks might not.

    GOOD!

Although it's a mark of how good Bradley Wiggins tour has been that he is being spoken about in connection with the final podium.

He (Contador, not C[h]av) was getting a free ride, he'll put on a display on the Ventoux and win by 5 minutes.

Bradley will be lower top 10 by Paris. "How dare you.." I hear you say, but 3 weeks ago such a placing would be seen as an amazing achievement for a former trackie. He's basically in a win/win situation unless he completely blows on the Ventoux (like Olano in 2000, who lost 10 minutes in the last 15 kms).

Schlecks aren't great TTers, plus they must have left something behind on those last two climbs... Hopefully Wiggo still has something in the tank.

Astana podium a distinct possiblity. Just so happens that the two strongest teams had the same objective, to destroy Wiggins. Then, Nibali puts the boot it.

Armstrong amazing recuperative powers. I thought he'd go backwards, after Verbier, but did a pretty good job of removing Wiggin's podium hopes.
    Chapeau to the old bug*er.

Even if Wiggins retakes a podium spot, tomorrow, which is no gimme, the two big teams will kick sand in his eyes on the Ventoux.

Conti now complaining about his teammate (Klodi)... Hope there's something lost in translation there.

The pressure is somewhat off Andy now (and Frank) - he (they) can now go all out on the Ventoux to secure 2nd place overall (or even have a little crack at Bert).
