Hmm - not pleased - good effort though Andy - lets hope he can take it to Bertie later on.

Great attack by contador, brilliant effort by wiggins, can't believe he was there at the end with evans, schlecks and armstrong!

Watching the replay, it looked like Contador was on flat ground and everyone else in the mountains. Holy crap he was fast!

Contador second overall. Back 6 seconds. Armstrong another 2 seconds back in 3rd.
• Nocentini in yellow.

Bertie was 3'27" behind him today

So what now for Wiggo? Will he be team leader?

BTW, thought Lance did a great job out there. Wasn't really blown away (by anyone not named Contador) and he should be within 3 seconds of Contador.

You know - we are all pretty sure which team will give us the overall winner, and it's probably down to 2 riders - yet this is a great Tour.

Wonder what LA would think if Wiggins finished in top 10; is that as bad as VDV finishing 5th??

Come on!

The finish wasn't super steep so it suited Wiggins a bit more than say the Ventoux. But not to take away anything, that was a superb performance from him, well done Wiggo

Almost ideal situation for Astana really. They still lead all GC contenders, but without having the responsibility of the Yellow jersey for another day.

Don't reckon so... VdV was on the back of that little group.

Contador has this sorted now. Race is for second.

Hope Wiggins can keep this up for a good GC...

Congrats to Feillu. This is his first year as a pro, he's got a stage win and I think he's KoM too

@48" to yellow.....wiggins did an unexpected great ride! He's shown he can get over as a contender some decent climbs...how good can he recover is the next question.
