  • The trouble with going out with fellow cyclists is that you always find new & cool gear you never knew you "needed", I'm sitting here searching Garmin 705 details.

  • Noy likely, although I was just thinking that we ought to make plans for a mid-Feb meet if anybody is up for it?

Time for more beer and bikes. Sara is allowed out to play during half-term as she can stay out late and not have to get up for school the following morning. Any of the days between 21st - 25th February for the BiH.
Who else wants beer, bikes and grub?

Can possibly do Monday 21st (I say possibly because it's the girlf's birthday; we're away for the weekend so I might be able to get out anyway.) Working lates and nights the rest of the week, sadly...

And those with a freewheel by the first round(s). :D

29th sounds good for me at the mo.

We can discuss this whilst we imbibe some ales and cider. I'm already signed up, I might try the route on my geared bike but stay in the gearing I'm running on my SS and see how much I struggle. I know the climb upto the airport will be fun on 50x17 as wil be the kick onto Wild Country lane that is like 1 in 3.

I'll aim for that. Fixie issues, so may have to be the greasy Vanquish.

Mark will be on his fixie and I'll be on my SS. Waddlie will be on his Giant Rapid but he stays at the back, not through choice though.

Assuming the weather doesn't go to hell I'll probably see you at 6pm in Bristol. I've got the day off and fancy a bit of extra riding. :D

Cheeky git. I'll be even slower this time round, haven't had much time on the bike the last couple of months. 90% sure I can make it, if I'm not at the end of the cycle path by 1800 just go without me.
