For those not on the facespace/mybook etc.

There is a sunday Wyre ride at 10:30 from the Duke William, 3-4 hours lots, of Chat (taking the mick out of Dylan)

Please be there ready to ride for 10:30 (i.e. get there early and get kitted up!)

    Newbies and Veterans welcomed!

    Moggy!

Which may require a surgical procedure to remove your head from your ass, be warned.
  • thanks for the advice on lighting guys, i'll be joining you all once i've bought some!
  • Be good to see you Steve
Biking whore of Wyre....rides with anyone!
  • Guys I've got a mate coming down next weekend (bonfire weekend), I usually ride in the Peaks with her but she fancies a change of scenery, we're doing Cannock on the Sat and I'd like to show her the Wyre on the Sunday.

So who'll be out? As you know by now I get lost in my own garden so am not keen to lead myself. We may never be seen again! 10.30 ish start?

BTW I was out yday in Cannock and was on a flyer, god know what Weds was all about as I was speedy gonzales yday!

Carbon forks fitted to the rigid, wish I had them yesterday much more comfortable relatively ofcourse, place your bets on how long before they fail at speed. ( please note I'm +15lb's over there limit )
  • Hi Debs...got a little confused but if you mean next weekend Muddys got a guided ride out on the Sunday...i think it's varying abilities so if your after a fast ride might not be your cup of tea but speak to her as i might be wrong

I think i am proberly going to Wales, but if i don't i'll join you....and am free the sunday after...i think!

    Anyone out on Wed night?

  • Everyone's getting confused so I'll ask again:

Is anyone out NEXT Sunday, 7th Nov, bonfire weekend?? That is when my mate is down from the Peaks. She's no faster uphill than you Sass but faster down than both of us so the usual pace is fine. Please someone be out as I can't be trusted to lead and it's taken me about 2 years to get her down here!!!
  • Count me in Debs

I should be able to piece together a route if nobody else comes

I'll be around I hope and quite happy to do a longer ride. We could probably do a 'grand tour' of the forest to cover all the best bits.

How many spare lights do I need to cobble together then for Wednesday night ??

Moggy, ordered the Auroro SS40 is it, SST-50 looks a good thrower.

SH-40 you mean, i prefer the look of the more compact SH-42, the form factro of the 40 is a bit big for bike mounting duties!

    The reviews look promising though!
  • Dly ...i think its just you and me tonight ...lees not coming now!

    Okay dokey mounty!

XP-G + Zoom to Flood torch fixed on with inner tube for me, works perfectly.

DX has been taking 4 - 6 weeks for anything be warned, if you can find it elsewhere for not much more, doooo it!!

The unique fire L2 had a better XP-G reflector, sadly the LED burnt out but swapped it onto my old XP-G and much tighter spot, but risking getting another duff 1.

Sassy Dave says yes, So far, I won't be alone with you in the dark you scarey man eater!!

Legs fine - healed up really quickly and stitches out last Monday
