Sassy/Mounty - I'll meet you at the Duke at 1:30pm - I'll not be fast and will probably stick to fireroads/families route but I'll see how I'm doing. I can always loop around the trails and meet you peeps at the other end and play catch up.

  • I should be in the Black Mountains on sunday but if anyone's free for a ride tomorrow i'd be up for it.

Wyre, Clent or Kinver would be good for me.

    Morning all

Wondering if any of you can help. Me and a mate have just started riding again and wouldn't mind trying wyre Forrest as we are from Stourbridge and don't know of many local trails.

Question is, what level of technical ability is needed, does the area have many climbs (I'm crap at them) and where is the best place to park up and get on the trails?

Any help / advice would be really appreciated
  • Slight change of plan for me.
Black Mountains ride has been put on hold. So I should be up for a Wyre ride tomorrow.
    Anyone else?
  • what level of technical ability is needed
More than MuddyPuddle has got if you don't want a black eye and a cracked rib.

The Visitor Centre is the easiest car park to find, but Button oak is probably the best place to park for free.
It's almost all hilly. There's a couple of flattish loops around Button Oak. Once you've done those, the only other trails head down towards the Severn or Dowles valleys, which inevitably means a climb back out.
I am a mountain biking god.
    Unfortunately, my bike's an atheist.
