    Hi,

My Question about the SCC was a little leading, I went out with them last november a couple of times. It was lots of canal towpath and bridleway riding, quite liked the bridleway but not keen on towpaths ( good way to cycle to work and that's about it).
They were doing an okay mileage, but just wanted to know if it ever got any better lol. From the sounds of it probably not.

Moggy, this might be a weird question but i recognise your handle and when you mentioned ledbury got me wondering.
Did you go to Birmingham uni about 3/4 years ago and ride with a bloke called Ed?

Yeah Thats me, Went riding with DaviesLad a few times, while at Uni. Kinver?Ribbesford on half days.

    lol small world

Ed and I have a few mutual friends and I believe he used to arrange the downhill stuff at bham uni. I used to ride with the XC bunch.
I think my old riding buddy Oli, went out with you a couple of times, he was riding a Santa Cruz Bullit. Also a big Ginger guy, from down south, used to ride a Kona.

Still here Nig....one of the girlies isn't quite so lucky broke her collar bone on the second day doing an epic jump....She doing my head in and wants to know how long it's going to take to heal....any ideas!

  • Didn't realise you were up there for so long...

Healing time varies based on age, health, complexity and location of the break as well as if there's any bone displacement. Minimum of 3–4 weeks of sling immobilisation is normal to allow initial bone and soft tissue healing

Best wishes to her for a speedy recovery.

I'm showing Swindon MTB club around the Wyre on Sunday 17th April, meeting at Ye Olde New Inn at Pound Green at 10am. (on the Buttonoak Side of the forest). The ride will be about 4-5 hours at a steady/social pace taking in as many gnarly trails as we can in the time allowed. Aim to be back at the pub for 1430 to 1445 for food and a pint. All welcome.

  • What's happened to the missing 2 hours - picnic?
  • Ha ha yes, it doesn't look very good does it
    Moving Time: 02:44:01
    Elapsed Time: 04:46:09

We managed 7 punctures between 20 bikes on one stream crossing at one point and that's on nice soft round Worcestershire sandstone.

  • I did hear that you weren't coming.

You wouldn't like it anyway. All those trails to go at and normaly not another biker in sight.
Looks like there'll be even more room on the trails with just three of us there. 8)

Unless anyone else wants to tag along?
