So Jack's FRC gilet arrived and am 99% certain it's never been worn, large is deffo a racing fit, but even though it's a tad loose on me over a racing fit jersey, I can see it being a great bodywarmer over a thicker jersey.

Cracking buy for only £24, only place I can find it online is £112.

Also came with these alleged ex team Scott Leap glasses.
One lighter lens had some marks that won't come out, the dark lens is mint though, as is the frame:
    scott-leap-ls-sunglasses-black-yellow.jpg

These didn't have photochromic lenses with them, which I knew, so may try and source one.

on it's way to my local PC World store, just need to sort some brake cables ;-) and a Sedis PC1150 chain from DFS in Rotherham.
You might want to check the bargains thread, R7020 groupset is now on Wiggle for £367.49.... https://www.wiggle.co.uk/shimano-105-r7 ... -groupset/

I suspect you'll be better off sending back to Merlin (or not collecting?)

Yes I have :(:( Only reason why I didn't go with Wiggle in the first place was crank length availability.
I've added a signature to prove it is still possible.

Endura Primaloft Gilet in retina-kill orange - £57 at CRC.

Packs down super small, it has pockets, primaloft is brilliant, proper cycling cut, bargain.

Castelli aero lite jacket, for £70. It's meant to replace a torn Perfetto, so let's hope the cut is the same. I sort of can live without DWR, as 80% of the miles will be commuting miles, and the regular washing just seems to kill DWR in my experience.

I'm tempted by one of these in medium. I already hzve a black one in a small and too tight fitting and short for anything other than cycling, or running. Can't help thinking the medium would allow it to be used a little more flexibly? Just how bright is the orange?

Having proper speakers on the turbo is on a par with having a good fan

Got some Bib Tights in the end.

Endura Pro SL biblongs from CRC - £70 using the voucher code (MID2019) plus Quidco so under £70 for a top end bib tight. I went for XL in the medium pad. Fit seems great for my height and weight (91kg and 195cm). My only concern is that the are quite difficult to get on and off due to a lack of an ankle zip.

I have gone for one of those in orange too, thanks for the heads up! Not just for cycling but for mountain climbing where bright colour is good too.

Me too - registered a new account with CRC and got an additional £10 off :-)

Primarily for touring in my case; used in conjunction with a super-lightweight shell that I already take, it should allow me to ditch a much bulkier jacket and still cope with cr*p weather in the mountains.

    It is, indeed, *very* orange!

The new Ultegra chainset semi-compact with 175 crank length to replace 6800 compact with 170mm. I'm over 6ft 2 and get on better with longer arms on other bike. It's an experiment I may regret especially at my age but I also spin out now and then so worth a go.

These arrived and they are a MUCH nicer brighter yellow than in that picture.

I'll try and post up a review, and a comparison versus the radar locks - be interested to see how the photochromic lens compares as well, both in terms of quality and speed of adjusting.

SKS Raceblade Pro XL *Stealth - don't forget the stealth bit!
*Reviews say it is painted on and comes off :?

    94930-334483_1_Supersize.jpg

That impressed with my Giro mitts I bought last year (Probably the best mitts for fit, quality, pad positioning, density & comfort, I have ever owned in actuality), also ordered these:
    placeholder.png

Also ordered a couple of their 'higher end' mitts to see how they could possibly improve.

Black permanent marker on the metal bits, only then are they stealth (it doesn't come off btw)

That would be nice, but it will be covered with crap soon enough.
Wondering if I can strap anything to the frame\seat tube to stop all that spray coming through - it has the split at the bottom as well, so would be worse than most bikes

And no, before anyone asks, it has no mudguard or rack mounts, or any mounts of any description at all, aside from for bottle cages - they latterly (2018) modified this design...........
