You've outdone yourself this time. Please tell me you didn't part with money for that abomination!

I blame ITB for the following:

    http://www.castelli-us.com/pm-1115-6-ev ... ersey.aspx

Been eyeing up the continuo for ages but wanted the red/black which isn't imported into the UK. Found it at a good price on bike24.net after ITB reported his castelli spree

You complete bastard! I've been a hankering after that jersey for months! Has it arrived yet, is it nice? I'm on a self imposed ban and haven't bought anything cycle related all month...

Apologies. They arrived today. The continuo is lovely. The evasione is very lightweight, definitely a summer jersey (Procool plus fabric thingy). It's ok. Much prefer the vuelta. They're the only two that caught my eye in the summer 2009 collection. No more buying til autumn*.

    * we'll see how long that lasts

I know - and I really, really dislike that style of clothing... maybe it'll be really nice in the flesh? Hmm. Is it anybody's birthday coming up soon? Anyone?

I bought some Adidas sport bibshorts last night - I am sure they'll be cheap and nasty (they were only £32) but I am wearing my saucy Castelli non-bib short shorts today (well, I was, I'd get funny looks in the office if I still had them on) and I was suddenly very aware of how much they slip down, so fingers crossed.

Speaking as a townie who's done night riding out there in the sticks, +1. It gets proper dark when there's no street lights :)

My dhb shorts are pretty reliable at being comfy and staying in the right place - you have the Castellis to thank for being an odd shape and slipping down and making me wonder if it was worth giving bibs a try :)

Is anyone else suffering with really slow delivery at the moment?

I've been waiting 7-10 days on everything recently from a number of major suppliers.

The pigoens can't manage all the gear you've ordered, in the cities we don't have the same problem as those living in the forests of Savernake.
I've added a signature to prove it is still possible.
