New bike mount thing for the raleigh banana turbo trainer shed so I can mount my 705 where I can see it and it isn't covered by the sweat thong over the bike.

Eh? Do I read this correctly in that you use a £250+ GPS bike computer on your turbo trainer? Is your sense of direction that bad that you can get lost on a static bicycle?

Lol snigger, yeah I bought a 705 to sit on my Trainer bike. Of ocurse it goes on the road bikes when I am not inside on the turbo, its just I bought mounts for the Turbo trainer to get decent speed, HR and cadence whilst training. In fact the spd pedals and the garmin cadence/speed sensor combined are worth more than the bike! Plus the 705 lets me archive the data from the session.

Which reminds me I bought both the sufferfest mp4's last night too.
I like the turbo its training, when I go out on the bike it can be fun.

This, apparently designed to suit Sigg aluminium bottles which are 3mm narrower than standard:

And this in blue. Outside the UK it's apparently supplied with the 6cm blade, but unfortunately not here:

New front brake (only Tiagra), Baa Baa Baselayer, 105 bottom bracket, ParkTool Hollowtech BB tool and a tube of grease.

I sat on a Scott CR1 Elite 2010 whilst in the LBS - unfortunately I didn't have £2k in my back pocket.

My Commuter (Carrera Vanquish) was feeling a bit cramped so bought a 120mm ITM stem from CRC, that quickly became obsolete half hour later after I had a quick look at Ribble's site - ended up with:
    RIBBFRAW220_1_zoom.jpg
    DEDAFORW200_1_zoom.jpg
    RIBBHSTR200000000000_1_zoom.jpg
for a grand total of £111 through Ribble's frame clearance - still cant quite work out how I went from looking at trying a new stem to buying a new frameset in about an hour but looking forward to the new build!

    That's really impressively cheap.

I really do NOT need another bike.

Yes you do. Resistance is futile.

I'm looking at that frame, too. My resistance is waning badly.

the clearance frames have marks but supposed to be minimal and barely noticeable - i'll stick some pics on when i get it but it's taking up to 10 working days to deliver

once i priced it up i couldn't say no at £111 delivered! i wanted one for a while but i got the Carrera so cheap i had to buy it, gonna swap everything over from the Carrerato the Ribble whcih'll mean a full Tiagra Ribble for £360

Unpadded? Huh? What's the point for anything other than looking like a circus act at a fancy dress party? :P

pretty obvious if you ask me... you put a big buckle on and go for a cycle ... it'll start hollowing out your gut

Bloody hope it's the right size - on the border between two sizes according to the Gore website, so have gone for the bigger one...

Aye, I guessed that might be the case, but the idea of a GPS-equipped turbo trainer bike is just too delightfully absurd for me not to be facetious ;). Out of interest, are the Garmin (ANT?)-compatible sensors and mount cheaper than an ordinary bike computer with a download-to-PC function (if such a bike computer exists)?

I understand there are trainers with electronic speed data hookups for a PC so you can log data, but I think they're stupid expensive...
The above is a post in a forum on the Intertubes, and should be taken with the appropriate amount of seriousness.
