Pro winter overshoes, wickedly thick and warm, easy to put on and take off BUT after two hours my feet started to get cold, not bad seeing as the cycle comp said -5 to -8 in places.

Why eggbeaters and not a different one?

Just to add to the confusion, I had a set of eggbeaters & didn't get on with them (the lack of positive engagement mainly) but changed to Time ATAC XSs (which lock in with a satisfying 'clunk') and am much happier.

I've got the carbon ones on my road bike...

Good stuff Jash. I'm pretty sure that's an update to the previous year's Espresso jacket, which is excellent. Wore it yesterday with just a light baselayer and was toasty. Needed to wear some bigger gloves, though. My thumbs were feeling it towards the end of the ride.

See I think they are the b0ll0cks (for London anyway). Ok sometimes the water gets in but I've never had a pair break and I love the fact that they can attach to anything without needing a stupid mounting system a la Cateye.

    weldtite-cure-c-cure-puncture-repair-kit.jpg

I spent half an hour last night fixing about 8 inner tubes i had accumulated over the year. They seem as good as new and I reckon I have saved myself at least 30-40 quid in new tubes. Puncture repair kits rock! 8)

Just bought a new 2010 Conti Turbo Trainer tyre which is now Black rather than Yellow. Hope to quieten down my turbo which is pretty loud. Decided to get one after trying my Open Pave's on the Turbo tonight and they were quite a bit quieter than the UltraGatorskins I had been using.

There's another few inches of snow on the ground outside - so it's time to get the Turbo sorted out properly!

Should be getting a Cateye H34 Flex Tight Light Bracket from Wiggle to go with the EL320 light I've acquired. Somehow doubt I'll get any Haribos though :(

My god I'm so sad, I used my new helmet for the first time yesterday (Met sine thesis) and was so worried about coming off and damaging it, it's my first proper expensive lid, that I had a dream last night that I was at work and someones pet eagle(!) knocked it of a picnic table and snapped a big chunk off.

Firstly, I work in an office there are no picnic tables for miles, secondly who has a pet eagle?

Is this how it's going to be now? Am i going to have nightmares before and after every time I go out on my bike? I'm thinking about just leaving it in the house and using my old one just in case.

    it's an iPhone app.

    it's very good.

particularly like the remote control operation and the twitter replies text to voice thing sounds way-cool.

Shimano are even kind enough to give you a full set of inners & outers. Didn't expect that! Lucky I am so disorganised, and haven't bought any cables yet, even though I need a set. Double hooray. 8)
