They are just the best lights I've ever had.

Some more White Lightning clean ride, my bike was squeaking on the way to work because I went to bed instead of relubing last night.

Sort of new: got a new Open Sport rim for the rear wheel and having that re-built up for the commute. Hopefully pick it up in a couple of weeks.

  • Finally got round to buying a Charge Spoon saddle in brown.

Now to decide if it will be fitted to the Felt (most likely, as the Toupe Gel does give my sitbones hell after time away from using that bike) or the Saracen (brown goes quite nicely with the orange frame, but usually the original saddle is fine).

I claim I can't afford christmas shopping but I've just splashed £70+ at Wiggle

Koolstop Salmons, DHB Merston bibtights, and a microfibre travel towel.

And I had to resist adding a lot more to the basket.

If I won the lottery, Wiggle would get rich.

Perth, Oz or Perth, Scotland? :)

Isn't it the most isolated city in the world or something?

    Why are you off there?

Following the lead of another commuter I splashed out on another Minoura Space Grip SG1 for the on the rear of the bike. Gaffer tape on the frame and mount it below the seatclamp with the two lights side by side though I could buy another light and keep my Mars 3.0 on the saddle bag.
I've added a signature to prove it is still possible.

Redvee, how does that work dude?

does the T go from top to bottom?

Ideally you would want it horizontal with a light on each side I assume, but the clamp is only designed for mounting on handlebars no - unless you can pivot it around 90 degrees?

Would be interested to see the results!

I have just bought a bargain Montane Jetstream jacket, had my eye on one for ages:

And a couple of less interesting base and mid layers ordered from JE James, I hope they are actually in stock!

The clamp can be turned through 90˚ quite easily so that the bar is either inline with the clamp or at right angles to the clamp. The plastic extension has notches on all four faces so you just undo the two screws on the side and turn through 90˚.

The screws are soft as cheese so beware. I replaced mine after learning the hard way.

Had to swap the bar from the NLA SG2 I bought back in May as the 120mm bar was too long for the vertical plane I had to use it in for the Mars 3.0, still a bight tight for space TBH but I now have space for another Mars :D

Also broke the bank on a £1.59 plastic box that cures visits from the PF from Wilkinsons. I've got plenty of patches and glue etc but don't have the small box with the abrasive bit on it for the chalk for use in the home workshop/kitchen.

    Let's see...

    Enigma Eclipse frame and headset
    Easton ec90sl fork
    Easton ea70 stem
    Easton ea50 bars
    Fizik bar tape and gel
SRAM Force groupset, with upgrade to Red shifters
    Halfords (!) stem spacers

Frame, fork and saddle are here, still waiting for the rest. I'm a little over-excited!

'10 Tifosi CK7 Audax Classic with assorted bits for the wet weather
'08 Boardman Hybrid Comp for the very wet weather.
  • Just picked up my Exposure Joystick and Redeye from the LBS, not their fault but no handlebar mount so bodged the Joystick alongside a standby Blackburn Voyager 3.3.

Riding to work in a couple of hours & staying in accommodation as I have a sparrow fart start tomorrow so will see how visible I feel in pitch black conditions. I still have the loaned Light & Motion Stella 300 set fitted so I should be bright enough.
  • Some DeFeet Dura gloves. Lovely - but no Haribo from Wiggle?
