More accurately I was riding my bike in the future, travelling forwards into the past.... That's how fast I am.

How did you overcome the relativistic mass increase due to you speed?

Nope go and read Einstein yerself rather, far too office induced braindead to explain it.

I have a device on my belt that allows me to reverse the polarity of the immediate gravity, eletrons, positrons, protons and neutrons around me. At each significant point of mass increase the actual opposite is happening and I become lighter thus allowing me to slip through space time without damaging it as oppose to punching through it had my mass increased...

I was going to write a longish response asking you to explain how it works in Quantum mechanics terms, but nah.

Just where can I get said device? :)

@Blu3Cat what bike do you ride at what time and do you head towards Clapham? Have you been overtaken by a black guy with a grey messenger bag on either a red Giant SCR3 or Naked Carbon Kuota Kharma?

Oh and interms of quantum mechanics the belt doesn't just reverse the polarity of said particles it alters the behavior of matter and energy within its field. Gravity, if you're wondering is the overaching force that holds together what is happening within said field.

Within the field its all about the speed the inverted particles are made move through the dispersion/absorbtion of energy, me being the conduit of energy. Once the designated amount of energy is achieved in this "pocket universe" if you will, the gravity field is dropped and the energy within the field is dispersed into the main universe, normal space time is resumed and I am promptly placed at my destination earlier in time.

Go up Blackshaw road, and then Garret lane. Oh and no, although you may have been overtaken by a podgy, white blonde guy in camo baggies on a Marin Hybrid last year

Oh and dammit, how have you managed to reconcile Gravity with Quantum mechanics. Does gravity behave as a Quantised guage field? You could be very famous if you could publish your work. Interested about the energy build up in your pocket universe, please expand :D

    @blu3cat

At this point I have no clue what I'm talking about but in an effort to push my ability to asorb information quickly I've just read a paper on Gauge Theory and:

The reason why quantum mechanics and Steven Hawking can't finish his theory on the Particles and the Universe (because he cannot figure out how Gravity works) is because most, if not all, assume that gravity is solely contained within the Universe.

From a human perspective we are on the Earth and everything within it is self contained. This perspective is then applied to the wider Universe, its as though the Universe is viewed as a planet and Gravity, like air on Earth, is its atmosphere.

    What if it isn't?

Imagine that Gravity it allowed to pass through the Universe and exists outside it. Because it exists outside it, its like a pressure holding the Universe together creating the pull phenomenon. A black hole is like a pucture and that point pressure escapes (like a helium baloon), which is why light and all types of matter and energy is pulled through outside the Universe.

At the point of a black hole the laws of physics are said not to apply. By manipulating gravity, ala my belt, within the Universe you begin to seperate yourself from its laws.

    How's that?

My wife makes flapjacks that have their own gravity. They fill the black hole that is my stomach on a regular occurence.

I'm sure she'd share the recipe with Steven Hawking.

It's been years since I did Quantum theory, but in terse terms.
All other forces in the universe are represented by quantised fields. Ou model of gravity on the other hand is due to the curvature of the universe itself (according to Einstein), and isn't a field theory at all (now I'll wait for a proper physicist to correct me). Maybe I should start a [/b]BIG Questions of the Universe thread.

And as for SCR action, quiet on the way home, usual hybrids, sit up and begs and MTBs, no Roadies interested in action, although did have an altercation with a man in a BMW who got cross with me holding him up for 5 seconds and took umbridge as I waved cheerily and said "Hope you enjoy the traffic"

Can somebody explain the clipless moment to me.

Sat at a set od lights with the right foot clipped in and left foot stopping the tarmac hitting my thigh, swapped feet but couldn't clip in at the bottom of the pedal stroke depsite putting myy svelte 15 stone into it. Span the pedals round to 11 o'clock and clipped in first time no problem :?

I don't think my brain has hurt so much since I read the introduction to my brothers uni paper, he's doing something to do with quantum information and I'll happily PM a link to one of his papers to anyone who is interested or who suffers from insomnia :-D

I set off on the way home tonight with anger in my belly as I was rather irked at the amount of work I had, knowing I had but only 2 miles to get home I decided to take out this annoyance on my bike. Imagine my delight as I spot a svelte lycra'd up chap on a Ridgeback tourer not less then 100 yards from my get go :-) We have a dual carriageway ahead that will provide an ideal battleground. He looked rather fit so I was expecting a half decent effort despite his panniers. I nipped past as we came towards traffic and planted my bike through the queueing cars and lined up at the lights ahead. He made a rather poor choice of lanes and consequently got held up by the buses stuck on the opposite side of the junction.

I managed to work out a few of my anger issues along the drag and arrived at the lights at the far end feeling much calmer! After negotiating the fun little junction ahead, where I get a chance to practice my cornering, I then scalp a pizza delivery guy as I nip past him and round a bus

A clear run up ahead and a hint of what I suspect was a tailwind, meant I got to feel like a tour rider as I zipped past a rather surprised young lad outside the local chinese, I can just hear him say "he's going fast" over the whistle of the wind in my ears  The average speed was a bit down on yesterday but I felt so much better for the ride home, god I love my bike! I imagine if I'd left work in that mood and had to sit on a bus to get home I'd have been un-bearable!

:?: I can only come up with an explaination for the toe clips in that it *might* help when hopping the bike, as for the bar ends I shouldn't imagine riding a BMX bike for such a duration that you NEED to change hand positions is advisable!

Good God. The BHWFH tonight  25mph in my face the whole damn way home.

Still I managed to scare the crap out of several BSO riders all going the same way down the bridleway (oh and a Husband and Wife pootling along - she looked terrified when I came up behind them. I wasn't sure how I was going to pass, as she... errr... well... let's just say she filled the path all on her own, )

The nightmare apart from the BHWFH was the rain, or not, or rain or not... ARGH Make yer feckin' mind up!

Set off. Dry. Wearing hi-viz. 1/4 mile down road. Pouring. Stop, change to shower proof. Rain stops. I start to over heat but stick with it... still no rain. Have enough, too hot.. stop, change to Hi-Viz. 1 mile. The skies open and I am rapidly soaked.

Stop, change to shower proof and arseholes to changing again... it didn't really stop raining until I got to my village and by then I was past caring as the BHWFH had done for me)
