Was it actually them? My league were in a bit of a panic last night, haha. Not sure what the best alternative is, can't be bothered with ones that involve transfers etc etc. Any recommendations welcome.0 -

Well the ASO have launched their own so I don't think it takes a genius to work out, I'm annoyed that we can't even see our team selections. If I know you, and I like you, you can borrow my bike box for £30 a week. PM for details.0 -
Nice cruise in this morning, weather was great and much lighter traffic than usual. The nodder count was less than usual too which is a blessing.0

Bellend in Team Wiggins green kit last night - happy to spin along at 24mph if I sat behind him but as soon as I tried to go my own pace, he was chopping all over the shop and cutting other people up just to attempt to stay ahead! Then shot off before the lights turned green and as soon as I had caught back up, he was flicking his elbow trying to get me to go round0
-
Who flicks their elbow a) at someone they don't know and b) on a commute?0

Ah ok, I didn't realise that they had. Still a few others out there so will take a look today.0 -

Because its ALWAYS a race.0 -

Never quite got that on a commute or even a casual weekend ride tbh. I had someone get really angry at me for riding about 5/6 meters behind him and not taking a turn. I wasn't even that close and it's not a race!...however if it was, I still won as I overtook and he was left miles behind.0 -
I'm doing a bit of SCR'ing here and there but I am most focused on staying alive ESPECIALLY because of the sudden increase in cyclists...0
-
Leisurely ride in just to get the legs moving as a mandatory week off was taking place after Maratona...
Mysteriously the front wheel on my commuter is out of true, noticed immediately when taking off from home... How and why are questions that cannot be answered.0 -
Great ride in this morning, felt really fast.
Slight downside, when I put the power down to leave a forming peloton on the Lower Richmond Road my bottom bracket sounded like a bag full of spanners. Better take a look I guess.Giant Defy Advanced 0 - Best
Planet X London Road - Wet
Montague Fit - Foldy thing that rarely gets used these days0 -
Agreed it felt quick this morning, and the roads seemed quieter. Hoping the private schools breaking up will make a difference.
Just need all the other cyclists to go on holiday now, the standard of riding is definitely getting worse.0 -
Saw a guy on a moped try and push a guy off his bike today, just outside the Houses of Parliament... Proper cnut and have tweeted the vid to cops etc.

Big detour at Queens Circus tonight, top of Queenstown Road, apparently a cyclist was hit by a lorry, helicopter was there so must be serious. Hope it was nobody here0
-
Headwind. Drafted that guy on the derestricted e-bike who doesn't bother pedalling. Then he turned off and I had to put some effort in.0

Whilst he appears to go for a totally non-existent gap that's properly mental!
And the chopper has a camera himself.FCN 2-4.

Some spirited SCR this morning on London bridge North bound, I don't think either I or the fg/ss chap were expecting the competition. Seemed pretty even.0
-
A lot of choppers out there, as demonstrated by the nut job who shoulder barged me the other night.
Some numpty started having a go at me for a totally failed shoal and set off some the lights on embankment, him never even getting level with me as we set off while I accelerated away in a nice straight line is undertaking him apparently. That said, there seems very little discipline or respect for others out on Embankment at the moment.
As an aside, through the roadworks up to Chelsea Bridge, is the pavement still in play, I thought there used to be a sign?If I know you, and I like you, you can borrow my bike box for £30 a week. PM for details.0 -
Last commute today, all the way from Cambridge. No competition on the roads when in London. Peace out SCRers. Stay safe.0
-
Heading eastbound you were never allowed to use the pavement, there was a sign saying not to, but loads did, westbound you were told to use the pavement, but not since the road's open. The pinch point is annoying, was chatting to a friend about it this morning - any idea what they're actually doing?
The number of choppers is insane, I've got a new top irritation too - the bad track standers who actually take up 3 bikes worth of room, because they need to be able to wobble around at 0.5mph rather than just standing still. They're never quick off the mark either.0 -

Thames Tideway (supersewer) works. Same as on the Vicky embankment. At least another couple of years.0 -
Bugger. The squeeze it creates as you approach Chelsea bridge is really annoying, particularly as it comes after quite a quick section.0

Indeed. And it's especially lovely at the moment, what with all that traffic turning into the Physic Garden in the morning.FCN 2-4.

No more commuting in the winter rain with plastic bags in your shoes, or dressed like an Arctic explorer during spring, with internal organs boiling alive.FCN 2-4.

Don't be jealous of my money saving techniques or poor clothing choices.
I think those plastic bags ended up getting caught in the rear mech and nearly pulled me off the bike.
New job starts 1st Aug but not really in London any more, just 4 more days including today as I mostly chill at home putting up wonky curtain rails.0 -
Nice spin and chat with dekant this morning in the E&C/Southwark Bridge Panther zone.
edited to add: Unfortunately we bypassed Smokey Bacon who took the back roads round Elephant.
