To the gent who said "Red light, bitch, stop at the lights" on my commute this morning.

I was stopped at the red light, you fvcking tool, you could tell by me being stationary, unclipped with a foot on the floor. Only thankful you were just a ped and not in control of a vehicle, with observational skills like that you could do some serious damage.

Ditto to the plank who called me a tosser when I passed a green light whilst he was about to cross through stopped traffic. Just because the traffic is stopped, doesn't mean there's a red light, so calling you a w*nker was fairly accurate.

  • Thanks to the pri*k in a red A reg Fiesta who decided to pull into the cycle lane on the hill out of Rottingdean as I was alongside him. I barely got through the gap...

Then you stupid, fecking bint in the blue car who actually hit my handlebardwith your wing mirror. Sitting in your car shrugging your shoulders as I'm thumping on your window and explaining exactly how to overtake a bike makes you a w@nker...

Normally I don't have any problems on the commute back, everyones very considerate (even bus and taxi drivers), however I seem to of met the two biggest tawt's last night...

The bus driver on Viccy Embankment this evening who was using the mandatory cycle lane as a rather narrow bus lane because he didn't fancy waiting in the queue with the rest of the traffic: what a Grade A, Extra Large, Double-yolker 'sehole.

Tesco's. They've been given the go ahead the shop No.16 in a 2 mile radius of Chez Redvee. A lot of locals were against the store and so were other shopkeepers but those considerations were swept aside :cry:

    Splinters

Got one right under my thumb nail.

Promptly located my Gerber tool, and utilized my Bear Grylls skills to pull the splinter out.

Hopefully I've prevented an infection, but it hurts a bit this morning

The weather today for getting far warmer than expected for the commute home. Dressed to the nines in buff and skullcap only having to take them off mid ride when riding along and stopped at lights.

Eijet on a Spesh Allez who turn left to head towards Barnes down Rocks Lane from URR this morning; the key to safely turning left is to do it from the left lane. If you struggle with thet then lord help you when you have to turn right.

Chavmobile that roared right in front of me on the roundabout by the station this morning forcing me to break so hard that my back wheel was probably a foot off the ground.

JUST BECAUSE I'M ON A BIKE DOES NOT MEAN THAT I'M TRAVELLING AT FOUR MILES PER HOIUR AND THEREFORE YOU WILL BE LONG GONE AND NOTHING YOU DO IN YOUR LIGHTNING FAST CAR WITH THE GIANT EXHAUST PIPE WILL AFFECT ME YOU ARSE.

First ride out in a month and everyone seemed to give me extra room as I was riding out from the gutter where there was still a bit of snow lying.

Until the feckin McKindless (or whatever the company is now) bus driver barged passed forcing me into the gutter

Western Power Distribution for messing around with the 'leccy supply last night, three times in 40 minutes the power dropped  Twice my PC survived, on the third outage it didn't :cry: which now means although I've got access to the net via my netbook and wifi I can't access the documents I need that are on the PC. Hopefully a cheap repair for the electricity company to pay.

This morning came across another of those careful BMW drivers. Approaching a parked car on my right on a narrow road and Mr BMW decides to overtake as we were alongside the parked car leaving me sod all space. He then stopped abruptly before the junction ahead and nearly had a fenix in the rear mirror.

it's lets wipe out the cyclist day today; 3 this morning. No 1, left hook, narrowly avoided,
No 2, door opening into my path, again narrowly avoided & finally entering roundabout, pondscum comes onto roundabout wihout looking and front of car clips my back wheel; spins round and comes to rest on floor.

Back wheel gone, along with mudguards and maybe rear forks. :(

Hope the frame is OK. Hope you are OK. Hope you got his insurance details. I saw a left hook near miss this morning and had a word with the driver further down the road. To his credit he was very apologetic, but not to his credit, his main reason for not seeing the cyclist was that he was really tired (he looked it too). If you're that tired mate, can I suggest the bus?

Last night on Embankment there was a car stopped with the driver with his head down and 200 metres of clear road in front, holding everything up. First thought was the guy must have been taken ill. I pulled up and another motorist knocked on his window. He was fast asleep. He was oblivious to the horns and the blue flashing lights of the police motorcade behind.

Thanks all, just had a proper look and the frames gone, rear forks have a crack at the top and it looks like the bottom tubes are also bent. Thankfully there were lots of witnesses.

I have a lot of spares at work, including a spare BSO that I was both building up and hiding, it looks as though I'll have to fess up and ride it home now; maybe with it being dark it won't be spotted.
