I'd demand a refund. If not forthcoming then small claims court. They'd have trouble proving they advised you correctly so you would probably win.

Amputation. It's the only way, and good for weight loss.

I'm also buying some furniture but I want some changes making to one of the wardrobes. It currently has a shelf at the bottom but I want four additional shelves on the right hand side instead of the hanging space. After two weeks discussing this on the phone and in person I now have to drive to the shop tomorrow and draw a sketch for them.

Heh, we try not to let our clients choose their own tiles - it always goes wrong. What exactly is the problem with the different thicknesses - could you build one part of the substrate up to compensate for the different thickness? As form the shelves - a drawing is ALWAYS better than verbal or written description.

Good idea. Probably the easiest thing to use if your not au fait with producing technical drawings.

City Link driver: is it really that difficult to read the address on a parcel? You managed to deliver my bike to the right address, but saw fit to deliver the lock to the building across the car park (it's not like the names are different or anything...). It's taken all day to find out where it went. Had I known this morning, I would've caught the goods-in guy before he finished for the day.

I know I shouldn't take it out on Wiggle, but between this, and taking over a month to sort out a return because they sent the wrong item, I'm not sure I'll be shopping there much more.
  • Medical "specialists", in this case, a neurosurgeon. I'm sure you would be much happier in a gown and mask with a knife in your hand, but really, when a patient comes in for a review, you could at least make an attempt at communication. Who knows, you may even find yourself able to impart some useful advice?

After 7 weeks in a neck-to-waist brace, enough x-rays to make me glow in the dark and very considerable stress over the whole thing, I expect more than 10 minutes worth of umms and ahhs while you scroll through the images, then say, and I quote, "Looks OK. Stop wearing the brace and see how that goes. If it gets sore, come back and see me."

That's it? That's really all you have to offer? Thanks for your contribution.

Chuffing City Link. Package sent on the 8th, still not delivered, customer now asking me where it is and for the first time in 200 sales I may get negative feedback.

I mean wtf does 6 "Goods returned to depot" lines on the tracking mean, after the goods were supposedly delivered. Have they been left in a garden, left on the van so keep going out and returning to the depot every night, what!!

Just got the washing out of the machine to find I'd thrown a Planet X Merino top in with the cottons at 60°C. Damn.

Well, it seems not too bad. Range of motion is still limited, but improving, muscles are sore as all hell in places, but apparently the fracture is ok. Still some question about whether I have any further trapped nerve issues around the fracture site, or if the symptoms such as numb leg and occasionally forearm are unrelated to that.

I have no patience though, and *need* to do some exercise or I will go nuts.

GP thinks I should wait and see how it settles down with some (gentle) exercise. May try first ride in a few days, somewhere flat and slow, find out if I can tolerate the position. Took my motorcycle out for a run on the weekend which was ok. Mind you, weather not helping. Last night, a storm hit town about 9.30pm. Three and a quarter inches of rain in 57 minutes. Cleaning up is a whole other rant!!!!

Haven't slept properly now for 5 nights.

No good reason. I'm really very f*cking tired, really really.

As soon as I get to bed, I'm awake. Everything feels uncomfortable. I have this kinda itch for my right arm constantly move, that at worst, spreads to my feet and legs.

Got so frustrated with it all I bashed the headboard and took all the skin off my elbow in the process.

Insomnia seems contagious. I've been having trouble getting to sleep for the past week as well.

End result, I can barely concentrate today. It's going to be a looong day in the office.

Every time I think that our Global HR team has reached rock bottom, they find a new and extraordinary way to plumb even greater depths. If it wasn't so utterly incredible, I would be in tears...!

I've now spent 6 hours trying to sort out an issue that would take 2 minutes to fix if I could find the right person who owns the relationship with the flexible benefits supplier in the UK.

You could just switch channels, set a timer for four minutes and when you switch back your programme will be starting again.
  • Farking. Laptop. B*ggered.

14 months old HP G62 laptop - working fine on Saturday, on Sunday battery running low so plug in AC adapter. Nothing. No lights, no charge, laptop dies. Can't restart. Get tech guys at work to check adapter, output fine. Power port fine (not loose) but no power. Out of sodding warranty as well.

Read a few alarming threads about motherboard and nVidia GPU failures.

    Anyone else come across this??

Can't remember if I said here or somewhere else, but he wrote a letter saying he "regrets that we bumped into each other". And that's the end of it. Crime and "punishment" in unelected Shameron's broken Britain

    Yep.

When it was heavily suggested by the PC that this was the way the case should proceed I went to the station to see the 'apology' and was going to ask what she'd want done if one of her colleagues was subjected to a similar attack, but walked in and was told "Here's your letter. Now sign this form. Bye".
