Thanks Robert, so I come from the A127 => A128 => The Avenue => Eagle way and then I shoud see the Ford Motor company and make a right onto Clive Road. Am i correct? Does the car park belongs to the Kart track?
    Thanks

That would be a left onto Clive Road, at the junction with Warley Gap turn right, a few metres along you will see an entrance on your left, that's the place.

Don't think I will make the 09:00 start, I wanted to start work early to finish a little bit earler but I could not.

I will still probably go a bit later and try to find the group. So if you see a novice on a Rockrider 8.1 give me a shout.

If not some other time (10:00 start on Sundays would be good)

Sorry I didn't make it this morning guys...

Was up far too late last night and fell asleep again after my sons awoke too early and I sent them back to bed.

I just managed to get my new rack assembled, etc. and took my sons to local woods with my old bike and childseat and eldest on his BMX.

  • really good ride this morning although the going was a bit slippery in places still after all that rain could have been alot worse  well done to the newbee for staying with it till the end , hope to see you again soon mate

Thank you guys for being patient with me. I have really enjoyed the ride and learn so much in one morning that my head is still spinning :D . I will have to pick your brains up for the parts I want to buy for the bike, stem, bash guard etc. But only when the MTB funds are back to a positive figure.

I am work now and feeling dead but very happy.

Not sure about doing WE again, but definitely during the week when I am off. Looking forward to go out again, hopefully it will be a bit drier (I wash the bike by the way and looks like new again  )

Not me Evan, got to take my son football training. I went this morning and did about 26km, most of it climbing... I seem to go the wrong way somehow.

I came across only one part where it was quite muddy, near the North Entrance but still rideable (??). The South part was perfect condition

I went late morning and it's quite dry with only a few muddy patches that you can just ride around. What time and location is the regular meeting point on Saturdays?
I usually start near the north entrance and just take a random pattern through the woods but probably only scratching the surface of the available routes. Found a really nice fairly steep downhil section today with a wooden footbridge at the bottom. When the trail hits a no bike sign at the edge of the woods I usually peel off through those meadows, climb a really steep hill and then follow the gravel track back to the south entrance which is all open countryside (although downhill on gravel is quite fun). It seems the fun woody bit is over too early so I need to tag along with someone.
  • sat morning at the kart track behind fords usually meet at nine oclock  or sunday at ten ......

Met at 9 this morning at Kart track.
Myself and Rob headed off semi-blindly, hoping we were going the right way when Damo appeared through the trees and took us off on a wicked whistle-stop tour of some routes (some of which were familiar from our jaunts with Ian:))
It was a tough ride (not been getting the miles in lately so stamina was lagging) but I thoroughly enjoyed it. Some nice jumping practice, a blat around the 'wall of death' and some good downhill runs...
I hope I didn't hold the other 2 up due to my inexperience and fitness level :)
Was damn lucky though when I noticed a puncture just as getting off the bike to load it onto the rack.
