That's one tough bridge right there. When i stacked it there i saw patches of Sam Hill's and Steve Peat's blood on the woodwork

Sounds like an awesome weekend you've got lined up. I can't wait to go back!

I'm banned from exercise for a fortnight now (physio's orders) and my weekend has just come free so i could have ridden any time i wanted. Grrrrr!

Mountain biking isnt exercise, its a hobby and having fun. Surely you could fit in a ride this weekend.
I'm going to see how it goes but i really think i should rest it. She said if i don't i'll end up causing myself more problems long term  She could clearly see the "oh sod it i'll still ride anyway" look in my eyes!

But just to tempt me - what are the plans??!
Is that your arm you did on Monday you are talking about? What did you do to it, just seveer bruising?

I am realy hoping my knee is ok by the time we get back. After walking home from work last night i was sure i would be able to have a quick ride before we go today, but i still can't bend it enough! The swelling has gone down a lot so i am still thinking i'v done something else, maybe done something to the cartalege, but then again it only hurts when i try to bend it too far :? Oh well, 2 1/2 weeks of relaxing on some of the best beaches in the world should do it some good :D:D:D:D

Ha ha i'm not jealous at all Andy!! :x Have a great trip mate, looking forward to a ride when you get back with your well rested knee. I wouldn't worry too much just yet - it probably just needs longer to settle down.

I'm off exercise with a back problem that comes and goes. Hopefully this time i'll get it sorted for good though as at 28 i should be in the peak of my fitness!! The pain in my arm has eased a bit and it now looks very bruised. Its good to show people and get their reaction

Yeah i usually grab every oppertunety to show of any injuries, and usually lie through my teeth saying i done it on a 20 foot drop off or something, when i was really just riding down a perfectly smooth bit of tarmack and just bined it cos i'm stupid :)

Have they diagnosed your back problems yet, or are they still trying to work out what's going on?

Yep - this physio seems a lot better than the last. She said i had short hamstrings, to which i naturallly took offence and told her she was no portrait herself ;) Seriously though i have to rest my back and then think about stretching my hamstrings so my back doesn't compensate so much.

Hold on - haven't you left the country yet? Go on - enjoy your holiday!!! :D

    Sorry
On a serious note, I reckon I've got short ham-strings causing back pain too. My daughter was making me try the stretches she's been learning in p.e. and I was quite suprised at how NOT-supple I am. Think my body has got stuck in pedalling position. :?
I'm gonna have to start doing roady stretches before and after every ride now

Errr... yes. I was forced to book tickets for the opening weekend weeks ago. Really looking forward to sitting in a cinema full of snivelling/whinging/noisy brats  watching a crap film full of the MOST annoying songs known to man  when I should be out getting covered in mud and trying to get better at riding hills :?

Are those lights ok with wireless speedos and heart rate monitors?
I don't know about that. I use a wireless comp., so as soon as I get the light set up I'll let you know if it interfears with the it.
I have a home made setup with a 35w 12v MR16 overvolted with two 7.2v rc battery packs, nice and bright
I remember your posts, some pages ago, about your DIY lights. I'd love to've tried it, but know I wouold've ended up wiring them back to front and suck all the light out of the universe. Or something like that anyway.

Come on Ade - we all know you booked the tickets willingly to get some more "Sharpay time" and learn some more lyrics;)

Anyone riding this weekend? I'm definitely not but thought i might as well make myself jealous. I'm planning a good few hours bike TLC to cheer myself up though :)

P.S. Loving the Rick Astley vid

I wouldn't say no to a bit of Sharpay time myself. And i didn't have to do too much research as I've heard Ade mention her before. Understandably ;)
