I wish my commute was short enough to justify a fold up bike. Love the pink highlights

I actually bought it for the long commute; Surrey - London - Manchester - Salford.

Now I'm working in London I use it on days I take the train (when going to the pub after work), otherwise it's a 42mile round trip on the road bike each day.

The new beater bike for the new commute and the new season. Needed something cheap but sufficiently fast and comfortable to handle the 62 mile round trip. Chanced upon this in the sales and it seems to fit the bill nicely. Changed the stem to get a better position, the saddle because the standard one is a disposable item and the bar tape to show less winter grime. :D

So far so good. First commute 12 miles at 19.1mph. Weighs in at 10.4 kg with pedals. Makes a wonderful noise humming along at 20+mph.

Certainly looking at the Aeroheat rims, but I think CX rays would be overkill ;)

Next step is going to be getting v-brake bosses.

modded/shaven Thunder Burt, Race Guard 2.1" tyres run tubeless at... no more than 35PSI.
Narrow tyres and high pressure are way overrated

I moved office recently so work so bought this last week to start commuting...

A barely used Cube Hyde Race 2014. All stock apart from Charge seat, Vans grips and Saint pedals, although I'm also waiting on a Thomson post and stem to turn up. Wasn't sure if I'd like the Alfine hub but it's been perfect so far and I've yet to feel like I've ran out of gears at either end. As my first non-MTB I love it, even if it does rattle my bones on the shady Aberdeen roads! :)

I love this bike. Coming down Broomfield the other day and I was thinking there was no reason why this couldn't completely replace the Cervelo.

    Details:

Canyon Inflite 9.0 with the following changes...

    1) Swapped the 44/34 chain rings out for a 52/36 set as this is going to be for the road.
    2) Changed the Ergon saddle for a Brooks Cambium C15. I never rode the Ergon but it didn't look comfortable and I wanted to try the Brooks.
    3) Fitted guards. You have to use the ones specifically for the frame because the mounting points are on the inside of the forks and the stays.
    4) CX tyres off and road tyres on.

It's a brilliant bike and although I've said it before I may as well say it again; discs are good and hydraulic discs are awesome.

My bargain basement Saracen Tenet, now with slammed stem. Not bad for £400, done nearly 1500 miles on it so far, only change has been sticking a Durano plus on the back from new and putting mudguards on.

I think you did. Grey Archtypes on Hope hubs. Not that many miles on them, the rims are still good.

I've got some TB14 rims and some 105 5600 hub knocking about that I want to build up for this as I think it will look better with shiney silver wheels.

Not a commuter but new (to me) bike. I bought it back in October and finally got round to paying someone to do the cabling.

I'm aware it has a relative dinner plate at the back but it's what I have lying about. The front end is relaxed at the moment whilst I get it adjusted over the next few months. Once I'm happy I'll cut the steered and use the blocks to adjust the height.

My commuter, Pinnacle Sentinal 1. I changed the cassette to 30 instead of a 25, much more user friendly for me. It's a heavy old thing, but solid. This was Friday morning, mhaving started in 0.2° and fog, 7 miles down the road the sun was out over the fields and warming up. Heavy ruck sack too.
