I don't mind the new site as much as some seem to, however...

...there are way too many forums.

I'm starting to suspect it's been turned off globally, as changing the BBCode/HTML settings on my profile isn't affecting anything. Methinks it was switched off to block people posting images. No great loss: how to handle/permit images is a tough call in fora.

    You don't.

One of the Admins got the hump and turned off the BBCode, so nothing works except plain text and smileys

Oh gee. Thanks. I've got a warm and fuzzy glow....
In that case, screw you, screw your nasty power trip and screw this wretched balls up of a forum.
    Not impressed.....
  • Has anyone else noticed that when posting a reply, the topic review window under the reply box is formatted much more sensibly than the forum itself, with each post's background in an alternate shade of light grey and lowercase usernames?

Just an observation, but is this a sign of a layout option still to come? :?:

Can this forum get any more difficult to read? The font is too small....the board is a mass of white...the turning of of the BB code has screwed up quotes....sentences don't make it all the way across the page before a new line is started :?
I'd rather walk than use Shimano
  • Agree with Rob

I've ended up increasing my browser's font size 3 times, resizing the window as small as poss to cut out some of the white and - seriously - I'm wearing sunglasses right now!!

Does changing the font size in the browser then affect the font of all other sites you go to?

I presume the default font size is so small because the actual message area of the page is so narrow...a large font would mean only about 5 words per line.
I'd rather walk than use Shimano
  • Shouldn't do - I think it might depend on the browser.
I'm using Safari on a Mac with tabbed browsing enabled - this is the only tab that's affected, all the sites in the other tabs are still regular size.

Slight amendment to the above, having seen the offending post from Eurostar (not that I'm allowed access to that part of The Glorious People's Republic of ACF but I have my means  ....). I've still got the warm fuzzy glow. Eurostar's post was, in it's grotesque way, very funny. Anyone with an ounce of common sense would have sniggered, deleted the offending post, possibly had a quiet work with him off-forum and that would hopefully have been that. Unless the software has a built-in Robomod facility, in which case god help us all...

I don't have my means, Chuff. Not after, well, you know. All that.

Any chance of a sneak peak off-board?

In all seriousness, wot Aunty Rubbish said is spot on. Who needs to be threatened with a ban just for exploring ways of getting around the autoprude?

Sounds funny though. And it's not as if you Nick are known for either trolling or being argumentative, as far I recall!!
