That's twice now it's asked me to log in when I'm already logged in and then it loses the post. This is crap.

Hmmm. Thanks for the link, those are a bit more promising!

    9.gif
    10.gif

Bit of an arse to have to save the links somewhere though.

Perhaps we should suggest some forum names for them? e.g who does this one most suit: 11.gif

You can bookmark it but then when you click on index it defaults to the original. :?

It's like River Island where you ALWAYS have to go upstairs to get to the Mens section :(

Set up the bookmark so that it appears in your browser's toolbar (and perhaps rename it something shorter), that way it is easily accessible and you can ignore that 'BIKERADAR FORUM INDEX' link altogether.

Photojohnny has highlighted what I meant by my post you quote

Find a way to isolate the Road sections, as having to scroll down past all the MTB stuff is annoying. You can go Road--->Forums, but if you click on the return to forums bit, it takes you back to the whole thing. They need to implement a stacking system that goes:

Forums--->Road--->Cakestop, so you can click on road to go back to the Road section.

That's what I think of the new forums. Thanks geeks.

I feel like someone has burnt down my local and I've had to got the pub down the road. The decor is different and there's a lot of people I don't recognise so I'll just keep my head down and see what happens. It might get decorated soon - cos it looks bloody ugly from where I'm sitting. :(

    I'm just going outside, I may be sometime . . .

That is probably the best way of describing it, and to cap it all I bet the pub down the road doesn't even serve Stella!

Binned this post because on second thoughts, it had a rude picture in it.

I suppose I will get used to it. But the vast number of forums here is confusing. Think I'll just bookmark this and pretend the rest aren't there! http://www.bikeradar.com/forums/index.php?c=4
Sorry Admins I realise it must be disappointing seeing your hard work in migrating the forums not being appreciated, but with a bit more thought to the layout and use of style sheets this could have been made to look a heck of a lot better.

Umm... err.. I recognise the names but everything else looks different. Where am I :? ? Where are all the knobs and controls I was used to? It took me 5 minutes to find the 'reply' button and now it wants me to type in a subject. I thought the originator of the thread did that. I haven't just created a new topic have I  ?

Oh well, hello all. Now let me find out what else is going on around the place...

See what happens over the next few weeks let the geeks do some necessary changes?

My main problem with the new forums is that it's so messy. Needs to be tidied up into sections you can minimize, etc. If I never go to, say, jumping forums, why would I need to see 4 of them? Minimize them and it's tidier already..

..sure that's said already though. Just wanted to mention it. :P

I don't like it at all. Why is that sodding T3 ad covering up half the posts? How to I get rid of it? I go to work for a day and when I get back someone's changed all the locks. I preferred it where we used to hang out. :x

Well, internet browsers have an add thing to get rid of them, no? Not sure how it works though but my boyfriend mentioned it a while ago.

And you're right though, the old was better :(

Merge the Race and Pro Talk sections; there's too much of an overlap in subject matter and it would be one less category to scroll for.

What's happened to your !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! key?
    Are you unwell?
Is it the new forum damping your squib?
It's a cause for concern, no doubt.

I wouldn't mind, but it's an advert for a bloody TomTom - what use are they to cyclists? FFS.

I'm afraid to say I already dislike this forum for two reasons: pictures, and picture signatures. It essentially means that I dare not read the forums at work because some wag won't be able to stop himself posting a 'hilarious' photo of some buttocks, possibly breasts, neither of which goes down well when they appear on my monitor at work. There's no option to turn pictures off - this would be a very useful feature.

Picture signatures are a huge and annoying pain in the bum when the same photos appear time and time again all over the page and get in the way of the text and the discussion. I have never been able to make myself at home on forums where the sigs are 150 times larger than the post they follow.

    In closing: :|
