If I have time to make the trip (work is hectic and often only 4 hours after I've managed to get to bed) it's 25 miles or so. Of course, I have to carry all my clothes for the week, plus safety boots and foul weather jacket. Looks like I'm touring.

Not exactly fighting the traffic either ;)

    Nice :)

I'm 5 miles each way in grimy Edinburgh traffic, with the uphill in the morning (Leith to Morningside). On a bad day in winter getting there can take 35 minutes. Best time yet coming back (on a good day in summer with both me and the steed in fine fettle) was just 17, but I know I could do better with a clear run...

From block to the boat and I ride it so I can stay in bed an extra 15 minutes.
Plenty of people with the same idea so we get a bit of a race going and still get to work with a sweat on.

For the last 8 months or so I've been doing a 12 mile round trip from Hayes to Heathrow Airport.
