Photo taken near the end of a six week tour I recently completed from the centre of Switzerland across to the Pyrenees and back, with ten days in the Pyrenees in the middle. I've had the bike about 20 years: along the way it's gained a set of S&S couplers (hidden under rubber inner-tube sleeves to keep out the grunge) and a Rohloff hub (I wouldn't willingly go back to touring with conventional derailleur gears). The twist grip shifter for the Rohloff is mounted in the RH end of the handlebars.

More details on the Rohloff setup here: http://www.users.on.net/~njpayne/bikestuff/rohloff/index.htm

The weird curved thing over the saddlebag and saddle is actually the standpipe for the water supply rock thingy the bike is leaning against. Photo taken near Baar, Switzerland.

Just returned from a three week, 2000km trip along the Western Front on my "sports-tourer". 7.6kg without luggage, 15kg with luggage (Apidura bike-packing gear). Fast and comfortable.

I love this! I rode to the New Forest the other week, for a week's stay. I had a brimming Carradice Nelson longflap mounted on a last minute choice of my Dolan Prefissio (a last minute mechanical issue with my Gios which I usually use for 'touring'). Had I chanced upon this section of the forum beforehand, I would have been less nervous about using the lightly-spoked Campag wheels on my Dolan. They coped fine.

Excellent work packing so lightly and I love the blog/website. The photos are great - amazing even - to say they were taken on a phone. :)

This is mine, Canyon Ultimate SL loaded with Revelate Designs bags.

Okay so a carbon fibre road bike isn't an ideal bike tourer but it suits me to ride this for most trips.

This one was 550km over 3 days from London to the Hook of Holland via Dover and Dunkirk and then back via Harwich in Essex.

The sliders sitting on top of the rear pack annoyed me so I repacked and managed to get them inside the bag; much better.

Here's the view from the front, somewhere in Holland.

Mine is a very different look to this young woman I saw bike packing in Bologna, Italy a while ago.

    No, I didn't enjoy 25mm tyres on the crater-iffic A9 bike path.

A factory photo since I can't get pics to post:

    https://archive.harobikes.com/masi/2019-masi/giramondo-700c-2019

I've made a few changes, the front rack I replaced with a Blackburn Bootlegger since I don't use front panniers. Replaced the seat post and the stem with Redshift ShockStop suspension system. Original Kenda Drumlin 700x45c tires were junk, so I now roll on Schwalbe Marathon Amotion 700x38c tires, these tires fit better under the Topeak Defender TX fenders I installed. Otherwise, the bike is stock.
