In the health service in the UK, they'll cut admin staff, and have health professionals do the admin, which isn't ideal.
In Trump's usa, he'd just cut the whole health system. Which, I admit, would save money.

I am about 3 inches too tall.

Currently in the UK health service the health professionals do the admin. The admin staff count the beans.

Certainly appears that the admins have stopped answering the phone.
The above may be fact, or fiction, I may be serious, I may be jesting.
I am not sure. You have no chance.Veronese68 wrote:PB is the most sensible person on here.0 -
Sounds like they need more admin staff to do the admin then.

Cut the waste admin. And do the remaining admin more efficiently.

Not more doctors and nurses? You'd never get elected.

This could actually be quite funny in a car-crashy legal kinda way.

Not a warmonger and has first hand experience of big companies profiteering from war.

It's quite the journey from endorsing Sanders as a Democrat congresswoman to supporting Trump.

Republicans have just reached 218 seats (so a majority) in the HoR, with ten seats left to call, so it'll be interesting to see how slended their majority is and thus how dysfunctional (or not) the HoR is, given the nature of the modern Republican Party.

What day to day benefit do hard working Americans get from elite astronauts going to the International Space Station?

The issue is because it’s public money, it’s got to be seen to be spent right. So there large departments of administrators analysing things to the far end of a fart. However other than saying a target has been achieved or it hasn’t they don’t actually add anything to the performance of the health service.

Soft power, perhaps.

No, just get someone from a business to do it. The waste will be fixed in a day.

That has been tried many times in the past. Just after I started as a student nurse, they brought in someone who had been a senior manager at Sainsburys to run our health authority. This was pre trusts, they didn’t last long.

You are missing the irony of my "populist" themed posts.

Cutting government waste by creating a new department and appointing two heads.

Lead by example.

Starting the project with two leaders tells you how seriously they are taking this.

He has said before that eliminating the subsidy would help Tesla by disadvantaging his competitors more.
I don't think he should be making that decision, regardless of whether it is the right decision.

If only our government would take it seriously...

Indeed. Just like Musk is taking this seriously (and apparently this is genuinely what he's posted):

Our governments over the years have also made plenty of announcements about cutting waste, and even set up whole new central functions to improve efficiency.

A lot of monkey stuff been going on.
I’m glad he hasn’t listed compensation for Neuralink monkeys.
