Donald Trump

I think this is probably true... if there were ever a Faustian pact, this is it. Even if X is diminishing in its reach, Musk has got himself enough of a following and money/influence to sink Trump. It would be fun to watch, though more than a little concerning that an unelected fool can amass this degree of fortune and power.

Do you really think Musk is a fool Mr Trumpet?
He's done incredibly well for himself if he is a fool, - a billionnaire and huge influence on future domestic and global politics.
Using words like fool to describe people such as Musk is really unhelpful.

Well, he's not an intellectual genius as he thinks he is, but I'd have to hand it to him that he's been clever enough to become a true Bond villain in real life.
I'm not sure than a non-entity trumpet player calling Musk names on a forum with a population of about 23 is overly unhelpful in the grand scheme of things.

I think that analysis is overplaying Musks popularity and influence, and underplaying Trumps popularity.

Not sure which is worse, TBH. It would be quite nice if they cancelled each other out and left the Republican Party to sort itself out.

I have a hunch that Musk will overplay his hand and become about as popular as Bill Gates was when he decided to adopt a lower profile and start his philanthropic phase of life. I.e. not at all popular in the slightest.
To achieve this, Musk will make lots of efficiencies in his new role that demonstrate a flagrant conflict of interest.
Trump is a dead duck after mid terms, because he's a one term president for the second time. He can still do a lot of harm, not least in who he backs next time, but as far as legislative change goes, not so much.

Perhaps I should have used the first word that I thought of for Musk, which was 'cunt'. Obviously 'fool' is much more unhelpful.

I thought Janey Godley had passed away....

An interesting take... competent & not-as-authoritarian v. incompetent & authoritarian...

Meh. I'm not sure the Republican party exists anymore, aside from a vehicle for Trumpism.

He also wants ownership and control of Greenland, as he did in 2019. A quick FO is in order there, from Greenland and Denmark.

I think Mr Trumpet is seriously under estimating the power of this forum! We 23 have immense power and influence don't we?
(Not sure there's as many as 23 though🤫)

I suspect he’s full on MAGA though

Maga is waking up realising that "Tech-AGA" does not care about americans one jot and it's worth logging back into twitter to watch...
"Free speech absoloutist" Musk has now banned Loomer's account on twitter
Best of all it's all a mix of bad people so I don't care who wins/loses
We're in danger of confusing passion with incompetence
- @ddraver0 -
Haha, someone predicted Musk would ban Loomer. How long before Trump dumps Musk... and they haven't even got to the inauguration before falling out. It's almost like this anti-woke right wing populism isn't a coherent or viable philosophy for governing a complex society.

Does look like they are having fun over on the hellsite, but I won't be going back there. Musk's suddenly gone all snowflakey.

It's going so well.
I guess that Trumpism is really just a loose assemblage of racists, gun lovers, evangelical nationalist Christians, anarchists, ultra rich and people whose whole existence is predicated on trying to wind up 'woke' people. Now that they have the prospect of actually being in power, it's probably not surprising they are falling out with each other.
