Yes.
Some taxes will be cut.

Christ, I only asked if you thought there were any problems in the country that needed fixing, but fair enough.

Obviously Stevo would never push anyone for an answer to one of his questions.

See above Brian. He was asking the wrong person and persisted even when told this. I don't want to encourage weird behaviour on the forum.

Anyway, did anyone on here write this quiz for the Telegraph?
"I spent most of my money on birds, booze and fast cars: the rest of it I just squandered." [George Best]0 -
That's a pretty offensive article to be honest with you. Firstly, it's intended to santise the far right and pretend it is something that it isn't. Secondly it is trying to conflate wokeism with being left wing, which is incorrect. What is the Telegraph these days? The Reform party rag without red lettering at the top?

I feel like it's the article equivalent of the guy you don't want to get cornered by at the pub...

You mean Stevo?
My advice is get him talking about football or cars. As they said on Red Dwarf, the Goerings are perfectly charming if you stay off politics.

I only asked you if you thought there were any problems that needed fixing in the country.
It's fine if you don't want to answer the question.

Not sure I'm the best person to answer, but I'd guess he thinks the tax burden needs fixing because it is too high, and that the Tories are more likely to solve this than Labour. Furthermore, governments only damage stuff by spending money.

I'd suggest that your final sentence is not entirely true, though some people might say that.

I wish I was as polite as Brian.

This is one election story I was not expecting...

Spending money might damage the world beating collection of potholes that currently make up my towns road system.
0 -
Does that change the question I was asked?

I think TBB was imagining what Stevo might say to wind up lefties. I'm sure he doesn't think that himself, as it would be a long list of things that quite a lot of people would argue that governments should spend our money on.

I imagine most millennial males have happy memories of the music video though.😆

It would be impossible to change the question you were asked.

If you think that the (c) responses are indicative of far right views then you're the butt of the joke.
"I spent most of my money on birds, booze and fast cars: the rest of it I just squandered." [George Best]0 -
Ha, that's some framing, given that the implosion of the Tory Party and its share of the vote is the main reason.

I guess you answered mostly (a), as the summary seems to have you down to a 't': "Mostly a: Congratulations! You’re a progressive. You therefore hold all the approved opinions about today’s key issues."
"I spent most of my money on birds, booze and fast cars: the rest of it I just squandered." [George Best]0 -
This is true; however, I was asked if Stevo thinks something not whether he should think something. I feel like your response only really applies to the latter.

The fact the city headhunter who has never voted labour in his entire life is the resident lefty tells you something.

Mmm. Lots of latitude in that joke though, and not necessarily exclusive of kidding one's self that despite rampant far right views, one is a tally jolly sensible and moderate.
0 -
Have you ever voted Tory?
0 -
I applaud your literalism. I always answer the question "Can I go to the toilet quickly?" with "I've got no idea".

Teacher in joke.
