Taxing more and spending less - so where are they tucking away this unspent cash?

It is difficult to see how the Tories are going to exploit this weakness.
Your possible weakness is worse than ours definitely is?

Already told you - ask BB, he mentioned problems that needed fixing.

Who is being shy? Perhaps I have misread the room.

I've commented before on the number of people who jump up to defend Labour when I post, but who don't admit to being Labour voters. Like Imsaid, a poll might be interesting.

No idea, just saying that majoring on tax is a logical approach for the Tories.

I've said umpteen times I'll vote for whoever will get a Tory out. It's a very simple metric. It's got nothing to do with being a natural Labour supporter. I suspect the same is for most CS posters.

Sure, thanks.
@TheBigBean Can you tell me if Stevo thinks there are any problems that need fixing in the country?

If we take away the strawmen that we are all closet lefties and we all think Labour will magically fix everything on day 1 then what on earth will Stevo have to rail against?

I think it's fair to say that most on here, as in the country as a whole, are planning to vote Labour. Not because they are natural Lefties but because they realise it is the best way to get ride of the Tories and that nothing will be as bad as the current mess. I'll be voting Labour for the first time ever including all the local elections, European elections and Welsh Government elections since casting my first vote in 1991. It's something I never thought I'd do.

Understanding who made the point you want to question is a good first step to asking questions.

Bribing pensioners, wasting it on giving mates contracts etc. etc.

I understand completely, you are trying to avoid answering (maybe shy).

Maybe there is an electorate that wants to hear the "we'll tax less, and there'll be a lower level of public services" message. But the Conservatives clearly don't think so.

Righty shyties?

That's a good point, if you ignore the evidence of the past fourteen years.

I don't think it's spending less - clearly they are spending it all as borrowing has continued to climb. Achieving less with more money would be more accurate.

They have.

Most of this isn't at all funny (just kinda factual), but there are a few good lines buried in the rant.

"He is Liz Truss in human form" 🤣🤣🤣
The above may be fact, or fiction, I may be serious, I may be jesting.
I am not sure. You have no chance.Veronese68 wrote:PB is the most sensible person on here.0 -
Saying something along the lines of "they can't be as bad as the current shitshow" isn't really defending Labour, it's more a desperate hope that they won't be as bad as the Tories.

The more I think about this, the more tone deaf I think it is.
Mentioned it to some friends from actual mining families. You can imagine the reaction lol.

The Tories are like a pothole. Even loose gravel is an improvement.

But they pwomised they would cut taxeses.

Yes but it is a cut of you take labour's additional £2k into account.

Let see shall we. I suspect that once the 'we've got shot of the tories' stuff has died down, the reality will set in.

Your fixation with getting my view on something I never said is a little creepy. So will ignore from now on.
