Should Chris Froome swallow his pride and retire?

The owner is up to his eyeballs in cash though non?
I don't get the impression that would be his driver for his cycling team.Felt F70 05 (Turbo)

So Chris managed to get into the top 30 of the Tour of Rwanda; that bodes well for the coming season.

He was working for his teammates, who won four stages and the GC.

Michelle Froome has just returned to X/Twitter, and gosh, what a horror show ...

There are a range of views on Israel/Palestine - some even supportive of Israel - that don't require all out islamophobic racism

Sure but let’s give the context. It’s not like the broader takes on it are short of either Islamophobia or anti semitism

Must be hacked, surely. Nothing for four years, then a series of posts like that. Doesn't immediately pass the sniff test.

Honestly sounds very, very much like her tone when she was defending Froome from doping insinuations.

It coincides with a return to Instagram today too, with a bullish (but uncontroversial) post. I reckon its legit. White supremacy profile is about right, and I reckon no worries about Chris' career prospects now the moneys been banked. I mean, shes entitled to her opinions, but he must be cringing .... or complicit?

That one in amongst the anti Hamas stuff is very much over the line into full on racism.
Apart from that, she literally moved to a tax haven.

… a drain to society… interesting perspective from a very tax efficient couple…
Back on topic, please, please can anyone retire his licence and call it quits? He’s become an embarrassment…

Aaaaand, she's deleted her account.
Not before posting some truly disgusting racism this morning and going on a bit of a blocking spree

Michelle has form, when it comes to bolshy opinions doesn't she?
IIRC, she got into a Twitter slanging match with Cath Wiggins, in 2012, when Froome decided -momentarily- to act against team orders, leaving Bradley vulnerable.
Cath Wiggins hit out by praising Sky teammates Mick Rogers and Richie Porte for their “genuine, selfless effort and true professionalism” in supporting Wiggins on that Tour stage, deliberately omitting Froome.
Michelle replied: “If you want loyalty, get a Froome dog a quality I value although being taken advantage of by others!”
In a tweet which was later deleted, Michelle wrote: “Team work is also about giving the people around you, that support you, a chance to shine in their own right.”

Also now seems that anyone interacting negatively through Chris' X account is getting blocked, so the idea that she does all his social media stuff seems to stack up still. If so, it begs the questions ... what the heck does he think of all this?

Any team looking to sign him after his contract ends next year should refuse if she's still his agent.

I find the idea of anyone wanting to sign him pretty amusing.

He's probably a lot closer to signing an extension with IPT than he was six months ago....

The above may be fact, or fiction, I may be serious, I may be jesting.

Is block-worthy apparently.

Every worker is definitely closer to retirement than they were six months ago. 😉
That said, does anyone think he'll get an extension or new team?

He's got a contract until he's 40 with IPT so no.
However if he doesn't get selected for the Tour this year then I can see there being some "mutual agreement" where he can retire / get paid up for the rest of the contract

Whatever anyone thinks of his form you can't help but be impressed by that negotiation on his part.

Good enough negotiation to forgive your agent for almost anything.
