I am certainly up for being competitive.

I am certainly up for eating lots of cake.

<b>I will be training.</b> And, I mean seriously training. I aim to lose at least 2 stone by Easter, be riding every day by then, doing one long ride (80-100 miles) each month, and probably shaving a few more gramms off the XTC.

Matt (Tartanyak) use your commute as training, the distance and time riding will be a perfect match for the laps.

Mattie - if your team is going to be taking part on completely unsuitable bikes, then Vin is going to have to get himself something else (or borrw my Coiler) as his Caldera is about as Jey as you can get - he's started to discuss SPD's......

Miss Kitty, if you turn up, you had better be able to make a good cup of tea.

I'm going to be part of whichever team cares the least about results, and most about cake. The latter is the more important.

I, too, will be training. I'm trying to raise my sugar tolerance as far as possible. And will be going round my mum's to practice cake making on a more regular basis.
