Ferk, does this mean I now have to think about training?
Entry forms are not up yet, neither are definate dates on the SITS web page.

If you can ride for 6 hours you should be fine me thinks. If you just put in the miles in the coming months then you will have a good level of fitness for the race. If you're planning to do some competitive racing then it could be worth doing some interval training.

Riding for 6 hours is not the problem, riding fast is.
Food wise we need a bit of thought into what we're going to eat.
Is it just a free for all or are we actually going to be serious about this?

I'm using it as a target to get fit [:)] I'm semi-serious about it at the minute (as in, I'm serious about getting fit, but realistic enough that I don't think I'll be on the winning team!)
I'm all for going full whack at training though. It's a damn good excuse to do something I need to do anyway.
Food will need some thinking about. Definitely.

Depends who is in a team with me. If its 3 others that are serious and actually want to win then I will take it as seriously as necessary. It would be good to get some decent lap times.

Win it? Get serious lad we've no chance.
I'm up for a serious team, as in one that is comitted and wont just go home after a few hours.

Why not? You get a decent team together who all put in the miles and it could be done. Or at least a decent placing.

[RANDOM STORY] We were on holiday in Turkey a few years ago and got friendly with a couple, after a day or so it turned out the guy was Ian Wilkinson who races for Giant. His team won the red bull version that year.
We all went out on a pedal-o (sp) and on the way back in we both gave it some and actualy beached it completely out of the water.[/RANDOM STORY]

I'm suggesting:-
Competitive
Stuart Lyden
Richard Kershaw
Phil Barker (as long as he doesn't fall asleep in the car)
Alex Thompson

I'd like to be put on the semi-competitive. Whoever else may want to be on that!

Double...hmmm. I like the idea Andy. I'll have to see how the training goes then I'm sure I can answer that one, sounds like a plan though! [:D]
Think I'll be putting in my app for the Evans race team this week...doesn't mean I have to be in a different team, just get to wear an Evans jersey...
