Must be an opportunity for an attack in the last kms of the Glandon where it is really steep.

Looks like all the riders SDW got up the road are going to be brought back before they can do anything useful

Riders getting shelled out the back as the road ramps up. QoM went backwards very quickly.

Going to be over a minute gap by the col, that will be hard to recover on the descent.

Even with just the tracker this seems amazing...

Wow. That was totally nuts. Niewiadoma scrapes in with a couple of seconds to spare to win the GC.

Tbh I haven't been very interested in watching women's racing but that was good.... thoroughly enjoyed it and much respect to all involved.

  • Who was the buffoon doing the main commentary on Amazon Prime? (Dani Rowe was one of the co-commentators and she was very good.) He was sending me insane long before the finish with his early hysteria, and was so busy giving it "ride for the ages" etc. at the finish that he completely missed that Kasia only just won. Commentate on the race. If it's a "ride for the ages" etc. then we can work that out for ourselves if we're interested in such hyperbolic nonsense.

Marty McDonald. I said the same thing about him the other day. Way over the top with his faux excitement.

It’s how he promotes woman’s cycling: every race is absolutely brilliant, fantastic, incredible etc.

If I"m not mistaken in 1992 another Dutch woman, Leontien van Moorsel, won the l'alpe d'Huez stage beating French rider Jeannie Longo. Van Moorsel is long since retired. Yesterday Longo crashed in a road race and is currently in hospital having received 30 stitches.
