Stealth - there's no doubt that the BR refugees have been noticed, so I'm not surprised that they are somewhat defensive, as they've got a popular forum to maintain as they see fit, but I'm sure that there will be gaps that can be filled in time... just not all at once, even before the corpse is cold.

The initial liveliness at CC seemed enticing, but I miss BR's relative calm. Navigating isn’t easy and there doesn’t seem to be much flow to the threads, just noise (on the main site).

I suppose anyone who has stayed here so long, must feel similarly

Well. That time has come. Bye y'all. See you on the other side.

So long, farewell, auf wiedersehen, good night

I hate to go and leave this pretty sight

So long, farewell, auf wiedersehen, adieu

Adieu, adieu, to you and you and you

So long, farewell, au revoir, auf wiedersehen

I'd like to stay and taste my first champagne

So long, farewell, auf wiedersehen, goodbye

I leave and heave a sigh and say "Goodbye", goodbye

I'm glad to go, I cannot tell a lie

    I flit, I float, I fleetly flee, I fly

The sun has gone to bed and so must I

So long, farewell, auf wiedersehen, goodbye

    Goodbye, goodbye, goodbye

    Goodbye

The above may be fact, or fiction, I may be serious, I may be jesting.
I am not sure. You have no chance.

Anyhow, I'm hitting the sack in a minute. This is Stevo, last survivor of the leftiebollox apocalypse, signing off...

...from BR anyway, you can't get away from me that easily 😀

Yeah, it's one reason I've spent way more time here than there - as a community it was a really interesting example of self-policing (partly through what would have been a pretty unwelcoming atmosphere for newcomers - not deliberate, but if a stranger stumbled in, they'd have been a bit bemused, and brave to assert themselves, as no leniency would have been afforded for unfamiliarity or stupidity).

But given that BR will be no more, CC will have to do (as well as the political side... maybe we can get some more Cakestoppy threads over there that keep the unmoderated banter going. I mean, what's to stop a Cake Stoppers' Political Potpourri being a thing?

The requirement for two-step verification saw me stop posting, unable to access the site. Now, as it's end is near I get on on using a password not used in nearly ten years.

By the morning, it'll be as if it never existed. Not even this post. We might never know who got the last post.
