Jakobsen already 11 minutes down on the head of the race, for anyone wondering what this pace is doing.

DK TV are starting to do the calculations
19 minutes now, still on that last categorised climb.

Big news is that Fedorov is in the peloton, so if he makes it, he (and Morkov) have big chances in the lanterne rouge.

Keep an eye on Zingle. Doing great stuff right now.

Jumbo have kept the gap down more than needed - I know there's a rider at 7-8 minutes but still

Interesting how they made a 3 days of Clermont ferrand logistical hub out of stages 9 10 11 and rest day

I didn't realise until I heard on a podcast . The riders must like that

Yeah, slightly surprised by the commentary seeming so convinced the break will stay away. I'd say 50:50 at best.

This area looks like the moors around the Brecon Beacons. They could be racing around Llangynidr Mountain or the roads near Penderyn.

    Why is MvdP pulling?

Philipsen tastes another win in a sprint finish?

Good for spectators too - with hindsight would have made a great few days as part of a holiday.

If they get there together, WVA can drop him on this surely

For anyone who thinks Hatch gets a bit over-excited or hyperbolic, Carlton is proving he is still king at that too.

Oh, vans off the front of peleton on descent, maybe we will get a shootout before WvA attends baby delivery.

Or at least, MVDP isn't doing anything on that against climbers who want rid of him.

The Vans aren't really pulling away from the peloton so much as the peloton are dropping back. Their gap to the break is pretty much as it was when they went off the front but if you listened to Carlton (originally) and Hatch now they are on some huge counter-attack.

    42C at the finish

I melted at work outdoors in our hottest day last year, was 37C at 1100, I couldn't imagine doing one ~10min all-out hill effort in that heat... Nevermind just over 100 miles with lots of attacks in even higher temps!

Jakobsen group now 25 minutes back, 55km to go. Looks like they're aiming to be right on the cut (earlier estimated as being around 37 minutes today)

    WvA drops MvdP.

I guess if (when) the peleton makes a proper move and if Philipsen is still with them, MvdP can go back to being super lead-out.
