    Wow.

    Mental.
Napoleon, don't be jealous that I've been chatting online with babes all day. Besides, we both know that I'm training to be a cage fighter.

According to Robbie McEwen, in wet weather ‘pro riders ingest microbes flicked up from the roads that make them sick…microbes that you/I wouldn’t even notice but they do with their sensitive immune systems’….

Your immune system will be supressed doing something like this, it's pretty legit.

Although tbf the symptoms are often caused by the immune response to the infection rather than the infection itself - a lot of them are probably carrying low level infections... It's very common amongst endurance athletes that you get ill when you go into your taper before an event, as you reduce the load and then the immune response comes in.

One of the first things I learned about bike races as a 10 year old is that if the sprinters are in the bunch on a mountain stage, it's not going fast.

In general, this Giro has been the antithesis of the classics season this year.

Sure, but the likes of Pog use that to their advantage, rather than worrying ;)

This reminds me of my then ten year old after she'd seen me race for the first time, and I'd had a "tough day at the office". After the finish, I limped my way over to the family. The Boss rolled her eyes as if to say "You're too old for this sh*t" whilst my daughter simply asked "Why didn't you just pedal faster, Dad?" I'm still constantly amazed that pros don't just pedal faster!

Still clinging on the back. Commentators (rightly) praising his effort but overlooking Puccio’s contribution. He’s been massively under appreciated for the work he’s done at Sky / Ineos over the years.

About 40km to go with 15km of climbing - can the break make it with the advantage they have?

10-44 cassette on Roglic’s spare bike. That seems crazy.
