Cav blasted off the back ....they are not holding back up front"If I was a 38 year old man, I definitely wouldn't be riding a bright yellow bike with Hello Kitty disc wheels, put it that way. What we're witnessing here is the world's most high profile mid-life crisis" Afx237vi Mon Jul 20, 2009 2:43 pm0

They've got to ride for 40 more kilometres to hold the sprinters off though.mididoctors said:Cav blasted off the back ....they are not holding back up front

Cavendish back on.0

Cavendish back on. It always looked like he'd paced himself pretty well, and wasn't a million miles behind even at the top.0
-
Cav back on very quickly .. impressive"If I was a 38 year old man, I definitely wouldn't be riding a bright yellow bike with Hello Kitty disc wheels, put it that way. What we're witnessing here is the world's most high profile mid-life crisis" Afx237vi Mon Jul 20, 2009 2:43 pm0

Pedersen sets off and Cav is in his wheel.
Cav vs Ackerman.
Then Milan comes from nowhere on the opposite side. Ackerman vs MIlan on the photo.0 -
Close finish, thought Cav was going to hold on but got passed by Ackerman then Milan coming through late.0
-
Cavendish had the perfect lead out.0

Close ...went too early"If I was a 38 year old man, I definitely wouldn't be riding a bright yellow bike with Hello Kitty disc wheels, put it that way. What we're witnessing here is the world's most high profile mid-life crisis" Afx237vi Mon Jul 20, 2009 2:43 pm0

Ackerman given it by TV captions but suspect the photo is still being reviewed.0

Looks like Ackerman in the photo.0
-
Ackerman on the photo by a tyre at most but Milan made up around 10m from a terrible position. He wasn't even in shot 50m from the line0
-
ah crap, sounds like a crappy end to the stage.
When abouts should I start watching from, though I don't want to overly see a nasty crash to be fair.
I watched a good few k with lunch, but stopped at about 14:15.
Any point in watching any more?Felt F70 05 (Turbo)
Marin Palisades Trail 91 and 06
Scott CR1 SL 12
Cannondale Synapse Adventure 15 & 16 Di2
Scott Foil 180 -
Milan is going to do a Cav 2008 at the Tour if he improves'Do not compare your bike to others, for always there will be greater and lesser bikes'0
-
Wonder whether any sprinters will quit today. A lot of mountains to come and only one sprint stage.0
-
The speed Milan closed with was seriously impressive, he just had his timing a touch out.
Cav is looking pretty sharp though, been close a few times while having to surf wheels
Rare to see Mads go long and not get much out of itWarning No formatter is installed for the format0 -

He should have won ..down hill sprint going in the last 150... just a bit of a tune up requiredNo_Ta_Doctor said:The speed Milan closed with was seriously impressive, he just had his timing a touch out.

Would the 4 team mates of Remco who 'went home with COVID' form the core of a TdeF team if QS were to refocus their GC season on July? Just curious.red.rider said:Quickstep down to 3: Ballerini, Serry, and Van Wilder

They still have four in the top ten, as both Arensman and De Plus move up.Pross said:
Yeah, still riding but a long way back apparently. Ineos down from four in the top 10 to 2.Lanterne_Rogue said:
Yeah, that sign was wobbling pretty violently afterwards, so you've got to assume it spread at least some of the deceleration as well.Pross said:
I think the sign actually helped him out and took some pace off or it would have been worse. Nice passively safe sign post too so gave quite a bit but he looks pretty bad (talking though).Lanterne_Rogue said:Not going to lie, given the reminder of Wouter Weylandt I found that second one a tough thing to see.
Sivakov reported to be riding again - there was some concern he might already have abandoned.0 -

Not wanting to be harsh, but all those who wet their pants about that clearly have no idea of how riders prepare for major objectives these days. There was no chance of Remco being able to reset and peak again for the Tour, even if he recovered from Covid in a couple of days.rick_chasey said:

Bouwman, who stopped at the crash scene to hand over his bike to Roglic and then waited for the Bora team car to give him a replacement, said that while lying on the road TGH told him that he thought his leg was broken.mididoctors said:Looks bad

I won't be calling my turf accountant any time soon, but he's currently 4th favourite at 12/1.rick_chasey said:
