Not as sporting as it looked, IMO. JV not as happy descending - he's just bagged a favour in case he hits the deck as well.

Because it means both of them can now call a truce and take it a little easier, having both had moments. If Vin pushes on and gets caught further down then Pog keeps pushing s and they risk another. By sitting up there's more chance of making a gentleman's agreement to chill out just a bit.

Why the hell is Pog waiting. The race is on the line, I understand he’s been down but he needs to be a rocket down this decent. To needs to put vin under pressure.

Did Robbie just suggest Riis won because of his mental games with a small chainring and not veins full of Haemoglobin jam?

After all the discussion earlier in the thread about past riders going up hill in the 53 ring, turns out that according to Robbie McEwen, Riis was using a 48.

Yes quite a clever move - he also gets to sit on Pogs wheel.

Agree that it was a good move, but disagree that Vingegaard isn't as happy descending. He's been picking some nice lines - including on the bend Pogacar stacked it on

Pog isn't a great descender . Jonas is better
