Yates had this giro .. he would have won it without that knee injury ...

So much for the lack of GC action.
Now complaining will focus of the lack of quality in the GC.

    No.

There are not gaps, there are chasms.
Valverde finished 12th over 8 minutes down.
Martin shipped almost 10 minutes, Arensman close to 11.

Valverde was 12th 8 mins down, so some big gaps today.

Looks like a two horse race now. Not enought TT kms for Almeida to make up his weaknesses on the steep stuff and downhills.

Valverde is 10th on gc - some big gaps now. Yates higher than Carthy on gc.

Not sure about that, he whittled down the contenders before the big mountains to come. Bahrain and Bora were dangerous with two contenders.

It's going to see how much it took out of them on tomorrow's stage. Hopefully someone recovers well enough that it doesn't end up as an unofficial rest day with a break being left to ride away.

Pozzovivo's descending seems to have improved as he kept the gap to the front group stable despite Nibali being there.

Only 122 riders have finished so far and it's nearly 50 minutes since Yates crossed the line......

    Edit:
Updated now. Last bus home a few seconds under 40 minutes down.

Kluge in 159th at 40 minutes down. 3 dns and dumoulin dnf makes him last, I think.

Yeah Bora are down to one and landas out I guess but my point is not he shouldn't attack ..just NOT THEN . TBH if carapaz doesn't win this it will be remarkable

Remember Hindley was there at the death 2 years ago and is looking strong still.

    6 seconds slower than Carapaz.
The above may be fact, or fiction, I may be serious, I may be jesting.
I am not sure. You have no chance.

Bora also have Buchmann in 7th or are we already writing off riders sitting at under 2 minutes on GC?
Yesterday, some folks were complaining about the lack of GC action. If that's the case, their Giro didn't last long!

Not writing anyone off but he is less of a threat than he was this morning which was mainly due to Carapaz's attack. Bora can still play the one, two tactic off course but it is a less strong position than it was and same with Bahrain.

What I want to know is if all the people who slated the Hindley/Hart Giro because they were not big marque riders are willing to reconsider after today.

    Hindley obviously has the chops.
